Oooh, love everyone's pieces, whether bone china or stoneware or whatever!! I love the crystal too.

Our everyday stuff is Denby Fire (minus the swirly "chili" elements, I didn't dig those)...

My crystal is Tivoli by Da Vinci...

I also have 12 place settings of silverware, but they are a pain because of tarnish. No idea what they are called...bought them on installments back in the days of mail order, lol.

Aw, Kerri - your post made me cringe several times over. Poor kiddos and poor you! I'm glad your DH stepped in today

Ruth - big hugs to you too!

China....that was one thing I refused to register for when we got married. DH really wanted a china set, but I thought it would be a waste of $$. I think they are beautiful...and I love looking at everyone's, but it's not something that we will use practically. He still wants a set. Maybe when I'm all grown up Wink

I just got a call from someone on my work line. I have NO idea what this woman was saying. I asked her to repeat herself like 5x, thought that I had finally figured it out, just to have her say something else and I realized that I was right back at square one. She was getting annoyed with me, I think, but she had zero grasp of the English language. I could make out like every 5th word and even that was a struggle. I finally gave her my email address and told her to email me. I feel like I am able to "interpret" well enough to communicate with just about anyone, but she was ridiculous. At first I thought she was a customer with a problem...then I thought she was trying to sell me something. MY BS dectector started going off - the whole thing started to seem shady. We'll see what the email says!

Yay. New one so maybe I can keep up.

Got a sickie home from school today. Fever all day yesterday but he seems better today.

No china but I have multicolored fiesta ware for every day. I love it. It so colorful and cheery.

I am being yelled at for not paying attention to Scooby meets batman. I've only seen it a few dozen times, you know.

when we went on that cruise, everyone spoke good english. It was great considering where I live people who are from Mexico expect us to speak their language and cater to them. Sorry you couldnt understand her and hope the email is more help to you.

My dinnerware isnt china either....it is tablemates. I do have a set in my moms attic that was my grandmas. She had three of them and I need to go pick out my favorite set. She had 5 or 6 sets. I dont have crystal either.

Helping DH last week, my dishes got out of control. I am sitting for lunch and then back at it. I really need to find a better system that works.

Whoohoo thank goodness for auto save, I have no clue what just happened but my post disappeared......another reason I get irked with the boards lately. nothing posts

All this china...I have what the silver rimmed china looks like but in gold...but it was my grandmothers and I never use it, just because I don't like the gold lol. I also have gold flatware too that I don't use....but I don't store it in my gotchie drawer!

Colleen I have Corelle too!

Candace, I have to go back and see if you posted the 'vintage' pattern you have, I'm wondering if it's the same as mine! It was my mothers and she gave it to me...I needed more settings and didn't want to go thru replacements.com, so I just got plain white corelle to go with it. Is yours the flowers in the middle of the plate, rimmed in green? I'll have to find a pic online...

How are you feeling now????

Kerri I'm so sorry everyone is so sick BOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tracy WTH!!!! You have to tell us what the email says, if you can figure it out lol!

Mel I'm sorry Rick still isn't going great and you had to reschedule....for practically next year lol. Would they call for any cancellations? Is Rick just going to wing it about work tomorrow?

Karina did you ever mention what Anna thought of the doll?

Colleen is it time for you to post pics yet of your kitchen?? I think it is, no matter the shape, we must see the progress!!!

Peg I keep forgetting to tell you how much I love your siggy!!! It's such a beautiful family picture!!!!

Kristi so how does the auto save work, I have yet to figure out how to retrieve something that's been lost???? I don't see any buttons that say restore it or anything.....

Allie LOL at being back soon!!!!!!!!!!!! YAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Smile

Emily sorry Miles is sick!!!!

It's been snowing for a while now, my bet is no school tomorrow or a delay...a delay I won't take him, I'd come back home for an hour and have to turn around again to get him, not worth it. DH is cooking chicken wings, per my request, for dinner tonight. He does them in the oven, dips them in Franks, and bakes longer...they are soooo crispy like fried. And the shrimp I love that are the huge sized, grilled...the marinade is garlic, olive oil, parsley, lemon juice, butter, paprika and something else I can't remember...it's so forking good!!! Nice redneck dinner combo, wings and shrimp lol!

Emily, I love Fiesta Ware! I really wish I had registered for something everyday...either in addition to or instead of my china...maybe one of these years I will pick up some reasonably priced "everyday dishes" -

So much fun to see everybody's things. Or maybe I'm just nosey like that! Wink

Aww, I'm glad you're getting a bday dinner, Julie!! It is rainy and gloomy here. Boo.

All three asleep, thank goodness. I just finished sorting all the clothes into sell, goodwill, my sister (baby girl), my SIL (baby boy) or keep.

I feel kind of weird because a "friend" asked me for my baby girl clothes, but I want to give them to my sister...is that wrong? And I already got rid of my stained/not so cute stuff anyway...oh well...

Julie, I'll post a pic of my Corelle stuff!

Look how cheap it is, hadn't thought of checking on ebay lol!!!

And I would just tell your friend that your sister already asked....seriously I wouldn't worry about it...and maybe say whatever your sister doesn't want you could pass on???

Oooo I like those strawberries!!! Haha so you think you have some of the Meadow too lol! I don't know the year on them, but I clearly remember eating on them when I was younger, I can see them in my head from the house we lived in during 2nd grade haha! At least I think!!

And you can't save the world, girl...everyone needs something, you have so much on your plate right now. Helping someone out is a wonderful thing, we all need it and we've all done it...but don't feel like you HAVE to do something just because she asked. You are a sweet and kind woman, no matter if you give her something or not!

C'mon down Peg! But you should know the state of VA doesn't deal well with snow lol!!!!! And LOL at your gmom having the dishes too!!!!!

Cristina, DH got me some hippy Minnetonka moccasins I've been wanting, they've got a fringe on them and all!!! 1970's, I'm coming back for ya lol!!! And some other odds and ends too...the best is this cheesecake his boss made, she does crazy cheesecakes that weigh 20lbs and I've never had another one like it, they are insane!

Mmm. Cheesecake!

I've got a roast in the crockpot. Karina, did you make a chicken recipe in the crockpot last week? Was it good? I'm think I may use mine more since I'll be out of the house in the evenings for radiation.

How are ya Peggy?! At work or at home today? Did Twinkletoes have a good NYE with his girlfriend!? ROFL

so also another of my new years resolutions.....with my mind not as sharp as it used to be I am trying to keep notes of what I do on a particular day. I always have kept cattle records for mileage for tax purposes, but then you know how think back and wonder what you did last week.....LOL......

so random.

Cute little blue flowers, Colleen! Honestly, I love all Corelle stuff. I think it is perfect for every day use. Some of the stonewares are a little heavy for my taste, but I think the Corelle ware is great for the dishwasher, especially! Smile

Kristi, buy yourself a pretty journal and start journaling!

Peg, I think it is supposed to be more of a portrait lens. It doesn't have a zoom...there won't be enough light for me to try for any pictures tonight...maybe tomorrow!

Yes! Dishes are fun! They are collectible, range endlessly in style and price, and never make you feel fat!!

I DID make that chicken recipe from Colleen and it was divine...the chicken just fell apart in our mouths. I will use real honey next time...I didn't have any and it needed to be a tad sweeter.

And Anna says she likes the doll and coat...just that she wants me to work more in the pink spectrum, lol. She wants pajamas for the doll she named herself: "Blot." LOL!!!

Please don't torture me with cheesecake talk...I fell off the dieting wagon over Christmas and I am sitting here with my pants digging into my gut but my stomach rumbling. Sad

Well both kids made it through nap without puking. it's been like 22 hours for Belle.. she has dance at 530.. I'll take her if she wants to go Blum 3 She says she wants to go, but still isnt eating much. I don't want to force her to eat, but all she's eaten today is cereal, juice, and gatorade. I hope tomorrow goes ok at prek.

Julie, they need to figure out how to do taste tests over the internet!! i love cheesecake. Smile

I love looking at everyone's china and stuff! OK, i have noritake crestwood platinum... we got it for the accent plate. the pic doesn't do it justice. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Noritake-CRESTWOOD-PLATINUM-Lunch-Accent-Plate-2297821-/140667256207?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20c06bfd8f

We love our everyday dishes, even though they're sort of plain. the nice thing is that they go with everything. they've held up well for the past 10 years. i'm certain we will get at least another 10 or more out of them. it's mikasa french countryside. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mikasa-FRENCH-COUNTRYSIDE-5-Piece-Place-Setting-6037710-/190613767750?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c61774646

Candace, that's the camera we have. I love it for the low aperture! there is definitely a learning curve to getting used to being your own zoom, though. Wink i always thought our friend (who is one of my favorite photographers) was crazy when he was walking forward and backward to frame his shot. lol

that took me for.ev.er.... you guys are probably finished with china and are now discussing what kind of coffeemakers everyone has! Smile

kerri, sounds like the worst is over for you! i called my pedi to get a feel for why on earth Noelle is getting a stomach bug AGAIN, and she said it's on a rampage here right now. she said she had 6 charts in front of her to call back and all of them were stomach bugs. i don't know for sure if she was just feeding that line to me or not, but my friend did tell me that another family in our church is also now going through round 2 of this bug. Poor Noelle is miserable. Sad She's only vomited twice since she got up this morning, but she hasn't had a single bite of food - just taken small sips of water just about every 10 minutes. she finally consented to a few bites of toast a minute ago. hoping it stays down.

really really really really really hoping the boys don't get it. well, and DH and me, too!

Candace, great deal on the lens. Please tell my how you like it. I was looking at that one too.

Two more days till my trip. Super stoked. I read a whole photography book in two days so I could learn enough to take sonewhat decent pics while we are there. I hope they come out alright.

Ruth, we made it through dance class! I hope you're done with it too! It's going around like crazy here too.. It just really was miserable to have me, Belle, and Ben puking... plus a dog. I'm just glad that Belle is old enough now to throw up in a bucket if she needs to.

I hope Noelle feels better and the boys dont get it!

Our everyday dishes...DH got in college...I kid you not at Meijer's. No clue on the brand. Dh sees no reason to get new in his opinion.

Everly is a holy terror when let outside... OMG I can not turn my back for 1 minute!

Owen has his speech eval.. I think it's total crap here is what it said.

The results of the screening indicate possible delays and suggest a full evaluation to rule out developmental speech language delay and determine if an intervention is needed.
"Single word articulation screen he passed but when Owen is speaking in connected speech he is hard to understand and persists with multiple errors"

he passed hearing

whatever.. the kid is not delayed.. he speaks in full paragraphs and is understood by in large by everyone.. *shrug*

China china everywhere!

We use fiestaware here. I have many different colors, its just a mix and match whatever is on top. Thats what we use everyday around here. http://www.hlchina.com/fiestaretail.htm

I have my DHs grandparents china. I have no idea what its called, Ill try to find it. Its pretty neat. We also have their crystal glasses, but sadly they are still wrapped in the box. Im a terrible granddaughter (in law!).

Love how pretty your table settings are. Love seeing how adventurous a lot of you are in everyday! I guess Im pretty plain jane over here!

ETA: hahaha. our inherited china is also made by Homer Laughlin- same company who makes my fiestaware. Too funny. Trying to find the pattern online. Its not what I would pick for myself, but its still nice to have!

kelly, I like it.

These are my every day dishes....I have a clock and the canister set to match, but only have two big plates left and the bowls are different. And so are the glasses.

but in all honesty, we use the very fine paper china more than we should.

Kelly, I like it! I think that is one of Corelle's prettier new patterns. DH bought me a new set a few Christmas' ago (can't remember the pattern, I may go look and see), but it is heavier than the "vintage" Corelle ware and I took it back because I didn't like the way it felt...decided I liked the old stuff better! You probably are already planning to, but I'd recommend checking it out in the store before you buy it online! Some of their different patterns feel different.

Karina, love your coffee pot! Would yall believe we don't own a coffee pot?!

Kerri, glad your crew((e) haha) seems to be doing better. Pictures of Belle?

Ruth, I am sorry Noelle is sick again. My SIL's kids go through this every winter. They rotate it through their house about two times during the month of February. Ick. Praying that none of the rest of you pick it up this go round. :bigarmhug:

Mel, how is Rick?

I got my new lens...maybe I'll post some pics...just took a few...

So I apparently have a very elusive pattern.

I found it here, after avoiding housework for about an hour...

ETA: Okay Im obsessed. I found it for real:

Pattern K4915 by HL. Yay. Still dont know a price, however, as its out of stock at replacements. Oh well, just glad I can sleep now. Haha

The link below works, just pretend there is gold trim and ignore the false info they wrote about it.
