Sandbox - I have mine covered by a tarp held down with some bricks. Seems to do the trick
Ruth - that sounds cool. Hope you both score!
Bday parties - miles only has 9 kids in his class this year and there is a limit of 15 in the 4 year old classes next year. I think in elementary school there is a limit of 25! 34 A LOT of kids. Is it mixed ages? What about the kids that are his age and the ones he plays with most?
So far I've always included my friends and their kids in his bday parties, but I think I'm finished with that now.
Ok, so Miles has this horribly annoying habit of as he wakes up in the morning he starts flicking my nipple ((this has been going on since he was a baby) I HATE it and immediately stop it but he does it every morning. This morning I told him it wasn't nice to play with my body and it was MY body and he wasn't allowed to touch without my permission. He looked at me and said, "but mom, I like to play with your bod.".
Emily ms....i lol at the wine in hand pic...for the project...
kelly...at lucys school...we sign a papaer(if you want to participate in) with our name/address/ email and your childs name...for our contact/birthday sheet...no invitations are allowed at school, and the kids are not allowed to talk about their parties( of course tat can not always be enforced)...i just emailed the moms that i wanted their kids to come over for a small get to gether....and told lucy it was an afterschool playdate..that way she wasnt tempted to blurt out party at school....but i only invited 3 of her friends...lol...very small.
Wendy...eww on the backyard catbox....that stinks....
Cristina((((((hugs)))))) feel better....and i agree with the rest...it seems like the more kids i had, the less i wanted "visitors" ....totally wanted the 1st couple weeks to adapt to life with a newbie and kids....sounds like mil will be helpful, though...so that is wonderful!!
Deb....i hope you closed on YOUR house!!
4.... Yup, its coming up fast!!
Hi everyone....im beat...up till almost 1:30am.....
For some reason I am not seeing your pictures here, Colleen. I'll try to refresh in a minute. So is that everything finished in your kitchen now? :woohoo:
Birthday parties - we usually just have family. BUt last year we invited her Sunday School class. This year we will probably go back to just family. Actually I can't imagine planning a party at all right now, but C is talking about "being 4" and having a party already.
I know I sound like a broken record, but I am so tired. Four and a half weeks to go...
And although I cleaned for hours yesterday, my house is a wreck. A BIG wreck.
Oh, I meant to say, Ruth, that sale does sound great! So it is new things? That is neat! At the consignment sale, people pull wagons. You could take a wagon to put your bags in and for Noelle to sit in if she got tired of walking around...?
And Mel, sorry you are on your own again.
How are you feeling about things today, Nicole?
How about you, Kelly? What time is your appointment?
Cristina, I'm glad you are getting your lump checked out again.
:bigarmhug: to all of you!
Colleen your kitchen looks AMAZING! Love the backsplash
Ruth, that sale sounds great. Hope you have lots of luck.
Mel, hope the time DH is gone goes quickly.
Kelly, thinking of you.
Me, I'm nervous. I know that I cannot do anything, but I'm still nervous. I'm trying to put it out of my mind and not worry too much until there is something definitive to worry about. Its hard. I really want to take a couple of days off work to digest this, but I'm afraid that I might be missing some serious work time in the near future and so I'm here. I also think that it helps to have the distraction, even if I would rather be at home.
OMG Colleen!!!!!!!!!!! That just looks so fab!!! LOVE the backsplash!
Yes 34 kids there are 8 teachers in there. ages 3.5-5 they are put into color groups so Owen is one of the youngest so his group is all kids who will going to a 2nd year of preschool there together (the youngest kids)
Yeah we signed the paper for invites too.. no invites at school.. but anotehr kid rented out a gymnasium and invited the whole freaking class! :O hmmm NO I do not have the money for that! (this family has a 3.5 year old and a 5 yr old in there too!)
HUGS Nicole! when is your appt?
Mine is today at 2:30 I will check in when I get back to my moms .. she is going to feed and give the kids a bath while I "nap" while I play on my I touch (which I hate for checking in here!)

HI Candace, mel, Emily (LOL at Miles) , wendy you lurking? you guys have name ideas yet?
Dh and I are talking going to San Diego Feb 16-20 weekend.. for the heck of it.. Owen has school off.
When I confirm that we are doing it I am gonna call up Jamie and Emily and plan a playdate!
Disney for a day
beach (which I have here but it's warmer there!)
Just got back from my appointment (all is well with babe) however my doctor is leaving the physician group practice to be a hospitalist. Im dying! Alex and I both see her, I love her and am just so sad to have to see someone else. Now me, Alex and babe#2 will all need a new physician. Waaaahhhh.
Just had to vent about it a bit. Thanks for listening!
Good luck today Kelly and Nicole -thinking about you!
Both Karina and I are both sick, bad coughs. She went off to daycare though I thought she was pretty sick this morning so she went to my ob appt with me instead of straight to daycare. So the ob referred me to a breast clinic and I will be getting a fine needle aspiration Feb 16th, same day as the next ob appt. My doctor said it's very likely benign but she wanted to rule anything out. The doctor who examined me initially said it was just fibrous and didn't feel the need to follow up (this was before i was pregnant). So now I am doing this just to be safe.
Colleen-your kitchen looks great! I love the backsplash, so creative!
Kelly-good luck today. KUP.
Hugs to Ruth, Mel and Nicole.
Peggy, come out come out where ever you are.
I'm not getting tea time today. And I foresee a meltdown in my future.
Abigail slept all of 50min in the car while I picked up Jax, ran to the bank and the post office. 50MIN!!!!! She was up an hour and half early this morning, has been IMPOSSIBLY grumpy and sleeps 50 minutes. Jax isn't napping today, even though on our way home, he told me "I'm so ready for my nap, momma."
I'm exhausted, short on patience and can't stand the pile of dishes staring at me.
Sorry Mel, I've had days like that
I called my insurance agent to up my life insurance. Is that practical or morbid?
Nicole, you are the breadwinner in your family, so it is practical.
But please remain positive, girl! It is scary though. :bigarmhug:
Mel, if you sit at your computer long enough, the dishes will load themselves in the dishwasher.
Nevermind, I tried that - it didn't work.
hahaha...i spent my tea time cleaning today since we are having a superbowl party on sunday but i won't be around all weekend...going up to my sister's alumni game and spending the night...so i figured if i cleaned today then it will make an easier quick clean on sunday when i get home
good luck kelly and nicole
Well, I don' think it's morbid, I think it's human. BUT proceed with caution.
I don't know how it is in CA, but in the US, *most* policies carry a wait period clause, usually 90days where if you are dx'd with a termnal illness it voids the new policy. Did you look into this? You'll want to make sure that they will just not honor the increase, instead of writing a whole new policy with a new start date.
So what is the deal with no siggys.. it is just laziness to redo it or what?
No go on the insurance, because I've already called the doc it would be considered a pre-existing condition. Boo. Good thing I have disability and life already. If this is nothing I am absolutely getting increased insurance as soon as possible.
Sorry Nicole. At least you didn't just increase it, have them consider it a new policy and then not have them honor it.
I took my boycotted my siggy until Julie, Peg and Colleen put their's back.
mine is still here. sometimes i turn it off if i post multiple times in a row
Hi. I was off work today, busy with the kids. My SIL had her baby last night at 10:51 via c-section after 46 hours of labor. They're both doing well. Mikayla and I went up to see them this morning. She's adorable. Tiny too, 6 lbs 14 oz. Serious baby fever going on over here!
No time to catch up, Ethan's screaming at me because I am supposed to look at his FIRE TRUCK!! LOL I'll catch up with you all tomorrow!
Hi Karrie. So glad your neice is here safely. What is it with boys and their fire trucks? DJ calls his his "hot car".
This is the first quote of the page and I've loaded this all day long and I tend to read the first post of the page everytime I load the page. So, I've read your post over and over and over. And this is the first time my brain actually read what my eyes saw.
Is your position secure? Or may you get layed off too? How are you feeling today?
