I love chick fill a
man i wish we had chick fil a.........LOL!!!!!!
omg.......i love chevy chase and dan akroyd(sp??) they are a freakin riot......is that the movie they were all alone....in a super icy, cold destination.???? and somehow they manipulate the soviet union into bombing themselves....or almost bombing themselves.....??? being lonely , can make people crazy...
what kinda name is chick fil a??? chick fill a bag?? chick fill your face??? i always feel like the name is missing something!!LOL!!!
Peg, every time I think of chick-fil-a now I think of you
Kelly, yes, you must try it!!! It is like a little piece of heaven.
Julie, I am sure that is when they are going to show up. They will catch me in my pjs because I start the bed time routine right after dinner around here lol.
Chick fil a bag You crack me up
the captain was calling me from inside the cabinet.......started sailing while cooking suppa......LOL!!!!!
Cooolllleeeennnn......Driiiiiink Meeeeee!!!! Gotta love some drunken cooking
Does anyone else get the ad for the new ergonomic shaped clear blue easy at the top of their screen or is it just me? Did they seriously have to make it ergonomic?? It is a stick you pee on for cryin out loud!
Sail on captain
And yes Colleen...that is the exact movie
Emily..wait..I miss something...what aster you waiting for
Kelly....no chick fill a in Cali.....no way
Peg, The ad on the banner at the top of the screen. It switches between tiny prints, anthem blue cross blue shield, and the clear blue easy.
Wtf are you talking about...lol.....you said something about then catching you in your pj's or something....now I'm confused rofl
I thought you asked what ad I was talking about I am waiting for the furniture store to deliver Bradley's new dresser. But they are going to come sometime between 4 and 8. We usually eat dinner early and then I start getting the kids and myself ready for bed. That is why I said that they might catch me in my pjs.
ETA: Sweet, they just called and said they would be here in 20!! My evening can go on as planned and no one will catch me in my pjs
between pegs phone and emily's poas comment......i was confused for a minute, too!!!!!! but i get it now.......LOL///AND REALLY......ERGONOMIC pee sticks.......really???????????LOL!!!!!!!
Makes for an interesting conversation though
The only ads I keep getting are for insurance and zuililly! Ergonomic pee sticks? Come on!
Colleen, hope you are enjoying your sail!
And peg, you GOTTA be drinking with all the hooch you got today!
Yay for the new dresser coming early.
Julie- Glad your mom was ok.
Candace- wonderful news you didnt get any tornados
Came home from work today and cleaned the fridge. Just what I wanted to do. DH and I had a fight this morning. Seems he think I should be doing more cleaning around the house on top of working my 40+ work week. I was fuming when I left the house today. He even threw it in my face how I went to my friends house on one of my days off instead of cleaning. Mind you, I havent seen her in 2 months. Ahhh men.
Aw Kat I'm sorry.
wow kat.........that sucks ((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) what a jerk!!!!!!!! well i hope all the laundry was done and the floors were clean from him doing his part.................
Aw kat.....phooey to DH...blah
And forgot to add a gallon of scotch to that list of liquor we purchased.....I love the liquor store at Costco....plus its in Delaware so there are no taxes
Dang Peg!!!! That's awesome!! Va had to have a hand in liquor stores so you can only buy at a state store...you can only buy beer and wine in a regular store, and can only get wine at Costco!!
peg.......a gallon of scotch......man......i'm coming to your house for a stogie and scotch on your back porch this summa!!!!LOL!
julie....NH is like that.....you have to go to a state liquor store for the hard stuff........
in mass we have packeys all over the place.....but supermarkets only can sell beer and wine.....
That is one thing I really did not like about VA, having to go to the VABC stores. We did have a package store on the base though so that was nice. Here in Cali I can buy all my beer, wine, and vodka at the grocery store. It's a one-stop shop
Our super markets can't sell any
But our liquor stores sell everything together....where as in Pennsylvania you have to get beer at a distributor and there you can only get a leg or a case...they don't sell six packs..
And yes Colleen..please come over this summer...I'll have a bbq for everyone
woohooooo!!!!!!! party at pegs!!!!!!!!!LOL!!!!!!!
This is what our party would look like
This is what our party would look like
i like this guy..............:happy3:
I'll being some booze to the party too
Going to another Bday party today
as I was typing this Everly choked on a saltine cracker.. I had to smack her back and finger swipe her mouth.. now I need a drink at 9am
NJ isn't far from me now...
Jeez.....I'm gonna have to go back to the liquor store now
Oh my word in heaven above, we are just trying to get rid of stuff that's been stuffed away in drawers that's just junk and some other stuff that's not even worth it to try and sell...ancient exersaucer, old toy crap the IL's brought, etc....and the back of Joe's long bed truck is FILLED to the top! Oh this is going to be one looooooooooooooong process even getting our house in semi decent shape to be able to want people to consider buying it lol! And all that junk in the truck, when you look around you can't see any changes because most of it was hidden away! YES I need copious amounts of BOOZE!!!!
OMG JULIE...........i sooooooooooooo don't envy you!!!!!!!!!!! i say you do a "dump run" to pegs ...........STAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Peg, yay for the cash back thing at Costco!
Going to another Bday party today as I was typing this Everly choked on a saltine cracker.. I had to smack her back and finger swipe her mouth.. now I need a drink at 9am
Yikes! Poor thing and poor you!!
That's exactly how I felt after throwing a few garbage bags together of stuff for the Joplin tornado victims last year. I spent all this time getting all this stuff together and it didn't even make a dent. I know how you feel!!!
Colleen, I was so lost when you started talking about sailing with the captain... thought you were playing a game with Abby or something. I figured it out a few posts later. lol
I know who to find next time I need a tablespoon of brandy, though.
Brian thinks a 25 minute nap is long enough. He only took one official (short) nap yesterday and then fell asleep in the car later. He sleeps all night, though, so I'm definitely thankful for that... I'm wondering if he also has an ear infection. We did put the nasal drops in his nose and sucked out a ton of snot before his nap, so I thought it might help him sleep. Boo. I was hoping for a nap myself.
Cristina, how are you doing?
Candace, how are you doing?
I forget what else I was going to say... guess I'd better go get cranky.
this was one of our projects today......
this was our other.....it's almost finished.....it looks finished, but i will make a "cover" for the window out of insulation board, and cover it with fabric, so he can put it in and take it out as he wants.....kinda like a "shade"..... but it will help in the winter for insulation....lol.....better late than never...........LOL!!
I think I must be completely cracked. I don't want another child ATM, but miss being pg. I must have lost my mind
I was so uncomfortable for so long when I was pregnant with the twins, I think it will take me a VERY long time to miss being pregnant!!!!
Colleen, those projects turned out great!! Is that a window in your basement?
Oh man, I just read this on a blog that hit me right between the eyes. I am sooooo guilty of staying up too late for no reason and then just dragging the next day because I didn't get enough sleep. And now that the boys are generally sleeping much better, I have no excuse. I'm going to starting working on this:
"The next day starts at sundown. Having a productive day starts with waking up feeling well rested…which starts with making good choices about what time to go to bed."
And along those same lines, I just wanted to mention that I'm giving up the computer on Mondays for Lent this year (and really limiting it the other days). So you won't see me at all on Mondays, but I'm sure I'll pop in on the other days.
So do you all remember that famous marshmallow experiment about delayed gratification? If you don't know what I'm talking about, the gist is that they put kids in a room at a table with a marshmallow on it... and left the room saying that if the kid didn't eat the marshmallow until the adult returned, they could have two marshmallows... it was a study in delayed gratification and self-control. So how do you think your kid would do? I'm pretty sure Noelle would wait. She has had to learn a ton of patience since the twins were born. And she's not the sugar addict I am, either.
ruth......i have a new gameplan for bedtime, too......i have always functioned very well on little sleep....but i find i function even better with more sleep.....just an hour more......so instead of going to bed at midnight.....i have been going to bed at 11......and the other night....i went to bed at 10:30......which might not sound like a big deal to some........but i have gone to bed at midnight or later for YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!! i find i get my 2nd wind at around 9:30....if i just get off the computer and chill on the couch with the lights dimmed.....i will get tired......if i start doing stuff......i'm all done...i won't be tired for hours.....i won't be able to go to bed early everynight......but i'm gonna shoot for at least 2 nights a week.......LOL....babysteps.......lol......
and the marshmellow thing.....i'm almost positive my kids would wait......like you, they have a ton of patience......it's just par for the course around here......LOL......jack on the other hand.......he would climb on the table and scoff it down in a heart beat!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!
and that is a window in the basement.......it's in max's room.......his room is finally, absolutely complete.......LOL!!!!!!
kerri...........i miss being pregnant more than i care to talk about....... it's a very weird topic for me.......i love, love, love all the madness.....and am perfectly happy with everything staying status quo.........but if my doc told me tomorrow....oops....your essure failed.....have at it.......i'd be having at it!!!!!! guaranteed!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!! oh well.......
In laws just left...in pomptu dinner.....had a blast..kids had fun...gave new good rain to clean toI
Um marshmallow...trip...I'm pretty sure my kids would go right for it
Being pregnant again...some ways I would die for another...other ways I am very content with the way we are now
Colleen that window looks awesome
Peg, lol my kids would go right for it too. Well, Bradley would wait, but not Gweny.
Julie, I know that feeling....but at least you were able to get rid of some stuff, even if it is not noticeable to the untrained eye.
Colleen, great job on the window box!!! Another amazingly done project Lucy's Dr. Suess float is very cute too.
Kerri, I LOVE LOVE LOVE being pregnant and I miss it all the time. I definitely do not want any more kids though.
Ruth, I like staying up late too. I need that hour of "me" time every night.
Kelly, choking kids scare the crap outta me too. I hope you had a good time at the bday party!
I think I spent the whole day outside today.... 2 hours for Bradley's football practice and game and then I took the kids to the park for another hour and a half. JD went down at 6:30 and the other two are on their last leg so I think I did a good job of wearing them out
omg emily....I am so freakin jealous...I'd love to hang outside all day...I can't wait......glad you tired them out too
And you guys say this thread is dead if I'm not around. Whatev
I read up last night. Not sure I remember everything now.
Colleen, so sorry your family was pulling a mutiny.
Jules Greenville SC is a great city. I really hope you are able to get things worked out and get your house sold.
Candace, last week baby!!! Right?
Ruth, I completely forgot what I was going to comment on. I'm going to blame old age. LOL Oh yeah, I remember. When Coll said she was Sailing with the Captain. I thought she was listening to Captain & Tennille.
Emily cp3o, Woman your strength amazes me. Yahoo for a new dresser, and for it being delivered before pj time.
Emily, So very sorry Miles was ill the whole time you were gone.
Peg, missed you lady.
Thank you all for thinking of us. That was really sweet. Rick is doing very well. I have a ton of things to tell you, but I don't have time. Was up half the night with Jax. He's had diarrhea for 2 days and kept threatening to throw up. Yacked a little bit once, but would wake up every 40 min and just roll around and cry and hold is belly. This has never happened to us before. In the past when he had a stomach bug, he never appeared to be crampy, just nauseated and pukey. So, anyway, he's not at school today, I had to cancel my dentist appt and I found out yesterday that the consignment sale is this week, not next week. I have to have my 150 items uploaded into their system and tags printed by tomorrow at noon. Not sure this is going to happen.
OH no...poor jax....:( hope he is feeling better soon....glad rick is doind ok!!!! hope the car ride/trip wasn't too rough!!!!! glad to have you back
emily.......great job at wearing the kids out(that is my game plan as soon as i get off this computer....LOL)
mel......glad your back and i'm glad rick is doing well.......so sorry poor jax......that is how lucy and sarah were this go around...lots of rolling and moaning.....poor kids.....hate that there is nothing you can do for them at 3am when they feel like poo.......i hope it is very short lived for you guys.......it was kinda 50/50 around here.....sarah is still "off" today......she went to school late....she just didn't feel good at 6am..........but by 8am......she thought it was something she was just going to have to deal with......it took me quite a few days to get my appetite, and to not get a belly ache after eating......good luck...girl......hope it stays contained to jax.......get your consignment stuff done, and we'll be here when you get back........
so i woke up today (to sarah telling me sHE DIDN'T FEEL good) but to jack throwing his stuff out of his crib(nothing new..he has a pillow and blankey..he throws out constantly) well then the big pumpkin head, fell out of his crib.....BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now i'm up!!!!! the little turd.......cried for like 2.1 seconds then started laughing hysterically.........great.......how much trouble am i in!??????????!!!!!!
morning peg............how are you and twinkletoes holding down the fort??????????? anyword on jury duty tomorrow??? or since you didn't have it today, you def. don't have it tomorrow???
ok.......now i'm taking the kids outside......it is soooo nice already...
I Haven't read back but a page
Welcome home Mel
Nice projects Colleen
Kerri are you guys done or just not ready yet to have more?
Well our beautiful 70 degree weather is gone and we now have a high of 50's ughh
Got some major work done in the backyard and fencing bought!
I need to run to the store for milk!
Morning ladies....welcome back Mel...sorry Jax is sick...Colleen glad the sickness is resolving in your house....I'm feeling ok, wish more would happen down there to get things going but hey I'm not even 37 weeks yet.....
Kelly-it's supposed to be 55 here and I consider that nice for this time of year!
Lots of work to do before my last day on Friday!
coll...gotta call tonight after 5 to see if i need to report tomorrow  ....and wow on the jackmonster!!!! yep...you are gonna have your hands full...i bet he's daredevil like his big brother!!!!
kelly.....hmm...now you get a little taste of our medicine (the weather lol) .....see what it feels like to live on the east coast LOL
cristina....i hope you can get everything done that you want to get done before your big day....and hope things start progressing a little for you on the hoochie front!!!!!!
Mel, glad you are back and the trip was good. Good luck getting your consignment stuff up and organized! Poor Jax, hope he feels better!
Colleen, yay for sailing with Captain I consumed my fair amount of wine this weekend too. Max's room looks great! Great floatie too I was wondering which book you chose yesterday when I was reading Dr. Seuss for the 700th time.
Christina, thinking of you!
Emily C3, Glad the delivery guys didn't catch you in your pjs...although they would have probably enjoyed that
Peggy, that a lota booze! Here we have to buy everything at liquor or beer stores. A few high end grocery stores have a small wine store associated with them, but for anything else you have to go to the beer store or the LCBO.
Emily (ms), sorry Miles was sick. Hope you had a productive weekend.
Ruth, my kids would totally eat the marshmellow. Sorry Micah has an ei, but glad to hear he's walking okay.
Candace, LAST WEEK!
Stupid crazy insane weekend at my house. Had a migraine, had the DSDs, DH had too much to drink...bah. Oh well, back to work today and kids are back so I'm busy busy. BBL!
Thought I'd pop on here before heading out to physical therapy, or musical therapy, as Gweny calls it.
Colleen, what a little turkey! Glad he wasn't hurt though.
Nicole, sorry for the rough weekend I hope that today is a good day for ya.
Welcome back Mel! Sorry to hear that Jax is sick, I hope that the lil guy starts feeling better soon.
Peg, they are really giving you the run around with Jury duty! What a PITA.
Kelly, we have crappy weather down here too.
Cristina, I hope you make some progress on your own! I know you are busy but try to take it easy.
Candace, yay for the last week!!
Julie, how you doing this morning? I think today is your house cleaning day, isn't it?
