ruth.........max is doing so much better.....the abx kicked in and he is out of pain completely......it is still swollen....but the doc said that could take months to go down....considering he had SO much fluid in his knee.......the only reason they would want to tap into it and expell the fluid would be if he was having pain.....and he isn't.........the hardest part now, is he wants to resume back to normal activity.....and until the swelling is gone......he can't......try telling him that...it's a constant battle......this is a kid that spends HOURS outside on the trampoline, dirtbike, bicycle......but he doesn't do any of those things easy.....he rides hard, he jumps big, and bounces for hours on end.........soooooo......that is the only struggle right now.......his knee is still about 3x's the size of the other knee.......he still uses the elevator at school, and still is not able to take gym.........i have to reevaluate the situation come friday, because his notes only carry him through this week.....
Colleen, glad Max is out of pain now! That parents' class sounds aweful.
Mel, glad you're out of pain now too! That sounds like it was miserable.
Julie, I was wondering what happened with the probiotics too?
Ruth, have fun at dance!
Deb, not too much longer now!
Peg, good choice to come back early! That's interesting about Alyssa's eye.
I feel like crap this morning. I couldn't breathe and couldn't stop coughing last night so I took some nyquil. That is always a mistake, and I knew it, but I was desperate. I feel all loopy and like I'm floating today. I warned everyone at work though, so they should leave me alone for the most part.
So glad for a Max update. And even happier it is a good update I was laying in bed last night falling asleep and told myself I HAD to remember to ask Coll about Max, since I had meant to all day yesterday and never did
Oh so sorry Miss Karrie.
I just realized that today was the day DH was originally supposed to come home
Haven't caught up sorry
back to feeling terrible and then the witch showed up.. today is going great.. ughhh
going to my moms today too.. which is going to be sucky doing errands and such .. but I will have her help and I will be able to nap so I guess good with the bad .
so, I finally busted down and bought Abs that Persnickety outfit yes, I got the hair clip too
And I bought this because I love purple and red and it was on clearance from this past winter's collection
and this skirt
Kelly, could you please answer my questions about DMC and the Muppets?
There's a little girl in Miles's class who has the first tank top you posted, Mel. She wears a lot of MJ, too. It's cute, but the way Miles comes home filthy, and knowing what some of it costs, I wouldn't be sending a kid to school in it!!
So, Miles has been complaining all day of his "forehead" hurting. We played most of the day and then he was watching a movie. The movie ended and I noticed he was pretty pale and wasn't asking to play again. He said his tummy hurt. About 5 minutes later, puked everywhere. Blech.
He's super sweaty but almost cold to the touch. And then he was telling me his legs hurt when he straightened them. He's had dry heaves a few times since then.
I foresee a long night in my future.
Anyway, would you make the call now not to send him to school tomorrow? I really try to stick with the 24 hour rule, but...he doesn't have school again until next Wednesday because of the holiday (we got extra snow days back).
Poor buddy. Yes I would make the ccall now that he wouldn't be going to school tomorrow. Even if he was feeling 100% by morning.
Sorry I was gone all day with my mom!
DMC we cancelled as we had fulfilled our commitment and the movies are cheaper online elsewhere .. so I have no idea.
love the outfits .. did you get the leg warmers too?
p.s. my mom is crazy....
p.p.s I got to hold a 3 week old baby boy today *gush* one more friend to deliver in Aug then the season of babies is done!
Emily- do not send him tomorrow... perk the coffee girl
Emily, I wouldn't send him tomorrow either. Hope tonight isn't too rough for the both of you.
Mel, Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. Wasn't the featured selection for the DMC the pre-sale for that John Carter movie? I can't remember but I am thinking that is what it was.
Colleen, I am glad to hear that Max is doing better! I know that must be hard for him as active as he is. Hopefully his condition will keep improving and the swelling will be gone soon.
Julie, manoman I don't know how you do it!! I agree that the pillow thing would be a waste of money since he would prolly just play with it. I would definitely be talking to the pedi though, I hope you find something that works! Silly Colby!
Kelly, I am so jealous you got to hold a newbie! One of the wives from DH's boat just had a baby on mother's day and she had her at the meeting last weekend. She was sleeping in her seat the whole time so I didn't get to hold her
Karrie, I hope you feel better. Nyquil hangovers are the worst
happy birthday abigail grace!!!!!! :occasion18::party: hope she feels well enough to have a fantastic day!!!!!!!
happy 2nd birthday sweet girl...........i can't believe she is 2!!!!!!!!!! just wow!!!!!!!!!
emily....i hope miles wakes up feeling better today.....poor little guy!!!!!
kelly......i'm gonna be having a lot of those ps.my mom is crazy posts soon.....LOL......hopeyour feeling better
emilyc3...hello!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!! hope you had a good day yesterday, too!!!!!!!
how is jd doing?????? is he drinking milk now from a cup with little or no protest???
yesterday i cleaned out and swapped over the girls rooms......abby has some size 5 pants that still fit her....but she fits into lucy's size 6 slim.....unbelievable this girl is growing like a weed.......so basically for summer, the girls will be sharing all their summer tops that are size 6, abby can still fit into the size 5 shorts/skorts/dresses..along with some of the size 6 stuff..and lucy is in all size 6....i started weeding out alot of my mj that i will be selling........next year we are doing some mj, but not all mj, i already have a stash of swanky baby, chatti patti, and i just ordered a couple of outfits from the tea collection...so i'm already done clothes shopping for lucy for next year.....she will be wearing all last years lines in those brands......but oh well........
ok......gotta bring sarah and her friend to school........
Totally jealous of all the newbie holding and potential newbie holding
Emily, that John Carter thing had a respond by May 5 date., I have 2 movies coming from them and have no idea why and they are 2 stupid Muppet Movies
Emily, how is Miles this morning?
Colleen, you were rather absent yesterday.
We have a super busy day and we gotta get crackin at it. Jax has his OT eval at 9 am. Hopefully we will be back by 11:30 because Caroline comes then. YIKES. Of course it's Swee Pea's B-day and she isn't getting any attention about it. Story of her life.
Nah benedryl doesn't do anything to him, doesn't make him tired or hyper, no effect. I was thinking of getting one of those stupid sleep pet things I see commercials for 5676 times a day...it puts stars on the ceiling, telling him he can use the crap out of that as long as he's quiet and stays in his room....but it's $40!!! WTH! It's got to be cheaper somewhere else, or something else similar out there...he did have this frog thing that played music...some leap frog something or other...but i had to take it away because it would be over an hour after he went to bed and he'd still be messing with it...the sleep pet would probably be the same so I don't want to spend a lot of money lol!
Yeah, don't waste your money... we got Noelle a stupid owl that functions like one of those stoplight alarm clocks and even though she loves it, it doesn't work!! I agree with whoever said maybe it's time for a deep talk with the pedi - or maybe even a sleep specialist? I was also wondering about apnea - is there a hereditary component to it?
Emily, I hope Miles is feeling better!
Happy birthday to Abs! I just saw that you posted a thread - I think we got Noelle a tricycle for her 2nd birthday. She's never been into dolls, either. But she does sometimes play with our dollhouse, which was a gift to her for her 2nd bday...
Well, my life changes after today... I didn't realize it, but Brian outgrew his car seat height-wise. He was almost 3 inches too tall for it a month ago, but stupid me forgot all about the height limits (it doesn't help that in all the specs for car seats, they only mention weight ). So I ordered a combo booster for Noelle, which should be arriving today. But now I will no longer have the ability to carry Brian in his car seat when we go places, which means that there are some logistics I need to figure out. Thankfully, the biggest one that happens on a regular basis is Noelle's dance class, but the last class for the year was yesterday. Phew. Hopefully by the time it's a big issue, the boys will have learned to stay where I put them. lol Anyway....
This morning is supposed to be our last nice moments and then it's ridiculously hot as far as the eye can see. Boo. I could get used to temps in the 70s all the time! We're going to meet some friends at a park and enjoy it while it lasts. Micah decided to get up at 6am - guess he wanted to start the party early. I have other plans for him. lol
What is everyone else up to today? I hope all the sick people feel better sooN!
Oh! I almost forgot... I exercised last night for the FIRST TIME since the boys were born. They're only 19 months old. lol I'm really active and hardly ever sit down, so it's not like I'm in terrible shape. In fact, this is the first time in my life since college that I don't have any weight to lose - the belly is all just lots of nasty skin, but it's not fat and it's not going anywhere. I really want to run a half marathon, but it's hard to do that when you're not exercising at all. lol So I told DH that I really want this and we need to figure out a way to make it happen. I watch the kids for him all.the.time while he exercises, so I don't see why it can't go both ways. Anyway, I got both boys to bed and Noelle was only 2 books away from bed. lol So he put Noelle down while i hopped on the treadmill. I didn't do anything crazy, just walked 30 minutes, but it was nice to get back into it. I needed a new pair of running shoes and got a GREAT deal on them.... on Labor Day weekend last year. And last night was the first time I wore them. Baby steps. lol
