Colleen, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE all of that. Seriously LOVE it all. And I'm so glad they didn't cancel pieces on you and you ended up with your whole order. And I'm really ticked that every single time I have ordered from them, I never end up with an entire outfit. The funniest thing of all, I was going to order those EXACT pieces. LOL Good taste lady.

Matilda Jane Clothing Platinum Shopping Pass :: Matilda Jane Clothing Online Shop
Ummm, I think either I'm confused, or these bidders are confused. Typically a Plat Pass is just the 'right' to shop a plat upload before it is posted publicly, as in you still pay for your order. I think these peeps think that they get to pick out $500 worth of clothing with the pass, but isn't it, you get the opportunity to BUY up to $500 worth of clothes? If it is shop early and BUY someone is in for a HUGE 'uh-oh' moment.
I think they know it is just to shop early and not paying for the order. It is just stating $500 vs the normal $150 cart limit. I have decided that some of these women either have bottomless pockets (and bank accounts) or no regard for money! But it is all for a good cause.
Colleen, I really wish I had ordered that very top outfit! It is my fav, but everything there is ADORABLE! Do these things meet Lucy's requirement of not being ALL MJ?! She looks like she's getting tall! So cute.
I don't take a B complex vitamin. I eat a Flinstone. I'm just discouraged because I had been feeling really good, but I had a rough weekend and think that getting over the bug, plus staying up too late, plus the stress of keeping Caroline, plus the stress of never seeing Brandon is starting to wear on me. The kids' schedule is so messed up right now after two weeks at the beach and my days are just too long right now with them staying up as late as they do. Brandon is going to Atlanta for three weeks and the girls are starting preschool again before too long, so hopefully we can get back into a good routine.
EMILY - 1-9! :woohoo:
I see the bid is up to $410 - it is not unreasonable to think if they resold every piece they bought at normal Plat mark-up prices following an upload that they could even almost make their money back! Not saying they should or will do that, but it wouldn't surprise me either. THey will have prime picking at the first load in 3-4 months...I bet they will get some real goodies!
From someone on addicts:
[h=6]Ack I want that plat pass! Between really wanting to donate for the Roussel family and really wanting to have a stress free plat experience I'm afraid of how much I'm willing to spend on it....eek![/h]
I get the stresses adding to the fatigue, but if you got the fatigue under control you'd handle the stresses better. Total revolving door. Try a B complex for a week, I bet you will be amazed at much better you feel emotionally and physically.
Colleen, holy cuteness!!!! Lucy looks adorable in her new clothes! Good luck on PTing Jack. Ya, if you are already cleaning up pee a thousand times a day anyway, then you may as well go for it.
Mel, hope that forcast is wrong. Good for you for not going off on that guy at the gas station....I would've lost it! I have no patience for stupid people like that.
Nicole, good luck with your new little this weekend!
Candace, I feel ya on the lack of energy. Hopefully you can find some soon!
TGIF, I am ready for this week to be over, that is for sure. Hope you all have a good weekend!!!!!!!!
YAY..............we can like things over here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i may never have to type again........just click,click,click............hehehehehheeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!! i love it!!!!
OhMyGoodness, I reloaded the page and saw all these toothy35's liking this and I"m like what the heck?????
I love all the stuff Colleen Lucy looks so adorable in it all! Are you saving it all for Abby?
Sorry for the long night Mel at least you got snuggles!
I hope you feel better Candace!
Going to get a mani pedi today... gonna be so nice!
Owen is so excited there is a new Octonauts at 9am.. he is totally jazzed.. even told me to record it!
Ok, but the 'likes' show up as notifications. This is BAD for me, I will now totally miss any and all pm's
Kelly, Thank you for the reminder. I totally forgot and we were recording some dumb old cartoon this morning and missed the Dis East broadcast. MUST turn it on now before we miss it.
So annoying because Nickolodeon has been promoting a new Dora that doesn't come on until mid-August. I have already been instructed to record it. All three of my kids really like Dora.
So last night we were eating at ILs and the girls were playing with their slightly older cousins (just turned 5 and 7)...this morning C said, "Cate & Libby told me Dora was ugly. They don't like to watch Dora." Makes me never want to let her play with them.
We recorded Octonauts, too, lol. But his at camp.
Yay for less than 20 Emily!!!
Candace - thanks for the Facebook PM. Made me get over here to say Hi! We spent a week at my moms house and then we have been oddly busy this past week. And watching a ridiculous amount of television because of the Olympics.
Do any of you with boys have good suggestions for pants? Miles isn't a huge jeans wearer and I'm not sure he could handle buttons and zippers on his own pants yet. I don't knowing there are really cute options. And I don't want to put him in sweats all the time. Are there other options?
I have found from ON some elastic waist pants that are a soft "workout" material.. like a sorta shiny material.. ughh so hard to explain. They were cargo style.. lasted a long time compared to jeans!
We also do the soft elastic waist TCP cargo pants that are made of cotton.
Candace.. OMG! that is so sad... yeah I don't know kids have no filter .. I wonder where they got ugly from .. I would have what made Dora ugly...? anyways
I had slightly older cousins, and we went back forth between love and hate relationships. I think it's inevitable that as they pass through different developmental phases that they aren't always going to get along or be nice to each other.
Boden (Gymbo too) do something called a soft ribbed waistband but the pants are structured like a pair of trousers with a fly. we love them.
Cord Sailing Trousers 22284 Trousers & Jeans at Boden
We also just get adjustable waist pants with a normal fly and adjust the waist enough that they stay on but he can slide them off to potty without undoing the fly.
I agree with that. And it wasn't they weren't getting along last night, but exactly what you said, they are just a little bit older and it isn't "cool" to watch Dora anymore. They see all of their cousins at least once a week (as I did growing up) and I know they'll go through stages of liking the same thing/different things...competition academically and athletically (if they are like we were with our cousins). I just didn't want "ugly" to be a part of Cadence's vocabulary right now, kwim?
I just said, "Ugly? No! Dora is CA-UTE!" Cadence smiled and said, "Yes, she's cute!" - like, happy I had reassured her. Heck, she sleeps with 3 Dora baby dolls every night.
I know it is just part of growing up. I'm sure in a couple of years Cadence and Ella will be telling Caroline that Dora is dumb. lol
Anyway! Emily, glad you popped in! I miss you and Julie and PEg and everybody else who doesn't pop in over here any more. Been kind of lonely here lately!
Ah yes, the vocabulary.
Abby went down for a nap at 11. I just walked Jax into my room and had him lay down. I sure hope he takes a little nap today. I'll know in 15 minutes. If he's there longer than 15 minutes, then 99% sure he's fallen asleep.
work today then fun tomorrow
getting ready for our trip in a couple of weeks too
that's what facebook is for anyway
colleen...awesome on the speech explosion...and ya know...they make duct tape in all kinds of funky colors and patterns now...just sayin
emily....yay for 19
candace...sorry you are feeling blah.....and remind me again how far from hilton head you are....or 95 for that matter...i think we take 95 most of the way there I don't remember...lol
oh and by the way mel....you don't have to worry about your notifications who say's anyone is going to 'like' anything that you have to say anyway
candace.....having one in every age and stage....you should hear what gets said around here, the tears, they tag team each other, they tell each other things to make them cry......it's awful......it does toughen their skin, but i am constantly intervening.....this morning was particiularly eventful.......:( max and andrew had lucy in such a tiff, she was crying so hard she couldn't breathe......this is EVERYDAY here.......kids are brutal........i've never been so ready for school to start......:(.......i used to love my summers with everyone, now it's just a power struggle all.day.long.......gahhhh
coll....loved all of lucy's outfits!!!! so cute
and yes....true about kids being awful.....:( ... and unfortunately there is no getting around it...atleast not that i have found.
I think I have a napper. I made the mistake of opening the door to have a peek and he was just drifting off but I disturbed him and his little head popped up. Sometimes I'm so dumb.
Very funny Peg. Hey when is your HH trip? I know you have the company picnic/party this weekend.
Boy it sure is taking them a LONG time to get all those auctions loaded. If they have over a 100 items, they better step it up.
HH is in 2 weeks
and i hate when i do stupid things like that
I need a nap, I'm so groggy today. But, naps do me zero good, I need a good 6 hours in order to feel better. Oh well, I'll go to bed early tonight and sleep in tomorrow. I also need food, but nothing sounds good. I hate when I'm starving and too lazy to get up and find something to eat. Maybe I'll just eat a bowl of trailmix
I wish i had that problem...i always find something to make if i'm hungry or i resort to oodles of noodles or a bag of chips...not good for the diet that's for sure
20 minutes that's all you need....like kramer (seinfield) 20 minute incriments
Yeah, well I got 20 minute increments all night long and I feel like sh!t, so I tend to disagree with that. :neener:
Peg, I think we are about 6 hrs from HH ... 2 Fridays from now (8/17) I have a small surgery at the hospital to remove my port.
How long are yall gonna be there? A week? I looked at a map ... we aren't too far from Fayetteville which you may be near on I95? Maybe we can work something back when you're on your way back home!
Wade is down for a nap. Guess I'll get the girls down so I can find something to eat too. Wish I had some oodles of noodles here. THey sound yummy right now.
Mel, maybe at this level of fatigue a nap would help? I plan to take one in a bit!
...yea...we'll be there a week...coming home on sat....how far you you from fayetville??? I think i remember passing there before LOL.....
anything fun/kid related to do around there....even off of 95...i don't mind traveling off of our regular route!! I think we are leaving on thursday 8/16 to get down there...I think...lol
Ooooo, liking that 19 pieces of adult Character Counts auction. I may have to bid on that one.
I don't know that any auction will end up in my price range!
The girls are in their room goofing off (in the bed). Fine by me...they aren't in here aggravating me and making a mess, and they will eventually fall to sleep (hopefully)!
I'll be honest, I'm not even looking at the auctions. There's no way I'm going to be able to compete with those women. Ahhhh to have that much disposable income and a dh that would let me spend it.
When I picked up Belle from prek just now I took Ben to meet his new prek teachers. I can't believe my baby is going to prek. He liked her well enough, but he didnt really want her to hold him. He talked to her and gave her high fives though so that's good. Belle really likes Miss Megan a lot so that makes me feel better too..
Kerri- that is cute he likes his soon to be teacher.
Peg- HH in 2 weeks? sweet
Candace- I have no energy too, but at least you have an excuse.
Mel- When does school start up for Jax this year?
Colleen- was the splashpad packed when you went? Dont remember if that was today or yesterday.
Nothing happening here today. This Sunday I am taking the kids to meet my mom, youngest sister and my stepdad at the Beach in Daytona. Dh will be meeting us out there very late monday night with his mom and brother. So excited to go. I know it is going to be tough to get Josh to walk on the sand, it always is, but I am hoping I can manage to get him close enough to the water that I can attend to him while allowing Sofia to prance in the water like she loves to do. Then on Tuesday I bought tickets the the hotel dinner and luau show for all the girls and Josh. Looking forward to it. Then back to reality on Wed.
Kerri, I have no intentions of bidding on anything, I just like to watch them all.
Kat, school starts Aug 9, but preschool doesn't go back until the 20th. The big kids always start about a week and a half before the little kids go and then the preschool kids also get out about 2 weeks earlier than the big kids.
Have a fabulous time at the beach. Will Josh not even walk on the beach with shoes?
He makes a face about walking on the beach with shoes and walks really slow, but we did finally manage to get him to walk on the beach. Then he stands about 7 feet from the water and will just stand there upright. I bought him this little tube thing that squirts water out so he atleast has something to do. He is one funny munchkin.
Kat, Bradley used to be the same way with walking in sand. And grass too! There was no running around barefoot that is for sure. He did eventually outgrow it though. Hopefully this time Josh will decide to brave the sand so he can have more fun and make things easier for you.
Colleen, wow, I don't know how you do it! Just trying to play ref to my three kids drives me nuts, I can't imagine doing it with 5! I am sure that you will be really happy when school starts
Kerri, I hope Ben warms up to his teacher. Wow, pre-K!
Mel, What auction were you watching? I am going to guess MJ??
Candace, that is sad about the cousins That is the one bad thing about having our babies grow up....they pick up on things so quickly now. I am glad that she chose to listen to Mom's opinion instead of her cousin's though! Dora is cute!!
Peg, how was the company picnic/party?
Anyone elses kids extremely ungrateful? On Friday I took the kids to this big bounce house place, Saturday they spent all afternoon at a park for a family reunion picnic, and then yesterday I drove them over 100 miles away so they could go to Chuck E Cheese. And what did they do all yesterday evening (while they even had their 3 cousins who are the same age as them over)......Complain and gripe!! I told my mom next weekend I am not doing anything with my kids, I am going to be the mean mom that makes them sit inside all day so then maybe they will be a little more grateful when I DO take them somewhere. I know that a lot of it has to do with the fact that we are here and 1. my mom spoils the crap outta them anyways and 2. they seem to pick up a lot of their griping and complaining when they are around their cousins. I am just about sick of it though. Sorry for the rant. I think I am just ready to be back at my own house and in our own routine. It just makes things so much easier.
Good monday morning everyone.
Kat hope your beach trip was a lot of fun.
What's everyone got going on today? I HAVE to get groceries today. We have orientation tonight. That's it for me. We've actually had T-storms since Thursday. Hope it's over today, I'm tired of the cloudy overcast skies.
Em, on the MJ addicts facebook page, there was a sweet momma that was killed in a car accident. The MJ community has come together and set up an auction fundraiser for her. A lot of different companies/people have donated over 100 items with all proceeds going to her husband and children.
And yes, long term, my kids are ungrateful. They aren't at the moment the 'fun' thing is taking place, but they most definitely live in the moment, so the minute they are bored again, the fighting and complaining starts back up.
Oh no, how horrible That is awesome how everyone pulled together to support the family though.
ungrateful........YES!!!!!! the older kids just expect everything......they are good kids, but there is definately not enough appreciation for what 1 of me has to do to please all 5 of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have days where i just throw in the towel.......a little thank you goes a long way, even if it is a ride to work and not for something fun.........i do know that kids get lost in their own little self absorbed world......but ya.......ungrateful kids over here, too!!!!!!!!!
em.....when do you leave for cali???
mel......not sure what i'm gonna do today.....it has been sooooo hot and humid here, i would graciously welcome a thunderstorm if it meant cooling us off, or taking some of the humidity away.......
i will probably just exercise, and then after jacks nap, take the kids to the pond.
i have to email the agency that i'm renting the cottage from......i'm gonna have them send someone over to the cottage and set up a bouncy house on the property for the week!!!!! yay!!!!! that should be super fun for the kids!!!!!! (and parents).....since we are on an island...i need to find out about fishing licenses, and boat stickers.....i need both, so i need to find out if i can get them at the general store that is on the island, or if i have to do it before we take the ferry over......cuz once i'm on the island.....i don't plan on driving anywhere.....if we can't get there by boat, we can't get there
Man Colleen, that vacay sounds like a blast.
So, Abs is OBSESSED with Jungle Book 2. She acts out every single scene and ever single part including the lines as the movie is playing.
