Craft- button ball ordnament

My first go at it.. (idea from pinterest) here is the example picture
I still have a few spots to fill in but I am quite pleased with the outcome.. I also need gold ribbon for the sting but all I had on hand was black.. so for show sake here it is!

I just noticed that they spray painted the ball red under.. that would be helpful.. hmmm might need to do that

That is adorable! Great job. I didn't notice the spray paint thing until you mentioned it.

How long did it take you to do this? Any idea approx how many buttons it took?!

Great job! That is so neat. I do like the idea of spray painting the ball - that way if any shoes through it looks more 'finished'. Your family will love them!

That turned out very well. You'll have to post your next attempts, especially with spray painting first.

Hmmmm....I have three peanut butter jars of buttons....But I don't think I have the patience for this right now, especially if you have to paint first!
