Halloween Costumes

Any ideas what your blossoms are going to be for Halloween this year?

I know I mentioned this before but C is going to be the Lorax. I can't wait. Smile Baby girl has a little pumpkin sleeper and black cat hat.

I haven't a clue, but I never do. I'll probably just do what I've done in years past. Wait a couple weeks before when both TCP and ON have them on super sale and get whatever I think is cutest. I really don't want to do anything. He doesn't dress up for school so technically, I could still get away with skipping the whole thing.

I don't want to deal with it either.

I blame chemo for how much I spent on their stupid costumes last year. Hoping to resell and only use a FRACTION of the money to get them something to wear this year. They do have a dress up party at school, and with Wade's bday just a few days before Halloween we may have another dress up party.

Last year C's preschool did this and this year they're doing it at the library - for each costume you bring in you get a voucher to come back when the event opens and chose another costumer. It's a great way to recycle costumes. We didn't participate because I have always sold our costumes on CL - which reminds me I need to list a few again...anyway, I think it's a great idea. Smile

We are leaning toward Merida. Delaney already has the crazy hair (just not the right color). Or maybe a clown. She's really wanting to have her face painted. No idea for Nate. He's been a baseball player for the past 3 years. Probably time to do something different. I'd like to do something to incorporate his wheelchair and there are a ton of ideas out there, but I'm not sure I have the time or energy to be creative.

Miles has an astronaut jumpsuit for dress up and I think he decided to wear that.

He has a school party and then the weekend before a school event where they wear their costumes and then we usually do go trick or treating on our street. I generally prefer homemade costumes but we are so busy until Halloween that I am okay not adding to my to do list.

I tried to get him to be Shaggy or Fred from Scooby Doo but he wasn't interested. I told him that if he was I would make him a mystery machine.

Alicia wants to be a princess (surprise, surprise) and so far DJ has not expressed a definitive preference....he's asked for pretty much everything. I am leaning towards a pirate for him, unless I can find something cute and cuddly...probably the last year that I can get away with that.

surprise surprise... Grace is going to be a princess. This year it's Cinderella. We found the dress at Sam's Club (not real Disney dress, but she doesn't care.) Hoping this year she won't wear it for the entire month of October. So far she's only wore it once.

Jayden keeps changing his mind. On his list of possibilities right now are: the Hulk, Spiderman, Captain America, Thor, a ninja, the red power ranger...and the list goes on.

Noelle wants to be a butterfly. I've got an eye on a few auctions on ebay... I've been to 2 consignment sales in the past few weeks and there weren't any butterfly costumes there. She's been set on it for a while now, so I'm hoping I can get a decent deal on ebay.

Brian is going to be an elephant and Micah will be Tigger (they were cheap and will fit them lol). I'm not sure how they're going to feel about wearing costumes, though. A few weeks ago, I put some frog rainboots on one of the boys to wear outside and he freaked out about it. I was surprised and put them on the other boy - and got the same reaction. So Halloween might be very interesting. haha
