Okay, here are a thousand pictures!!
First, this tent was a lifesaver. Wade slept a lot on the beach in it, and he also played in it some while he was awake:
DH took the girls for lots of evening walks while I helped my mom and sister cook. It was great to get them out of our hair for a few minutes.
The second picture is my dad and Ella. He was digging sand fiddlers for fishing bait...seriously, one of my most vivid childhood memories is helping helping him. Ella loved the bugs, Cadence hated them (see pic below of her on dh's back).
Attempt 1 at a pic of all three of them smiling...didn't get it, but LOVE this one of Wade that was a bit later.
The girls really loved the water. Ella was fearless!
She saw a "bug" (sand flea).
All the kids were SO tired when we got back from the beach every day. I would take their clothes downstairs and dh would bathe them, I would dress them, quick lunch, and then AT LEAST a 2 hr nap.
Second pic here, girls on the front porch. They slept together on a twin air mattress on the floor during the week and played really smart for the most part.
Here's my boob shot. And they are seriously under control and minimized in this picture!!! Ella is in my lap, where she felt like she needed to be about 75% of the time during the week. When she WASN'T in my lap, she was crying about 75% of THAT time. I did not go into the week prepared to wean her from the bottle/Neocate, but my dh convinced me I should do it when I had lots of moral support around. He was probably right, because I would never have been strong enough on my own. It was quite the ordeal.
Ella in my lap again...this time out on the boat. DH stayed at home with Wade.
After the beach
Enjoying the front deck some more. Covered up with a blanket...not sure where she learned that from.
My brothers and sisters were also on the trip, but Naaman is the only other grandchild so far. They had a BLAST playing together. He's a cutie.
At the playground.
I went out to take some pictures of my sister and her family one night and figured out how to capture silohuette (sp?) images...dh and the girls were out there with us, so I tried to get some of my girls too!
And just before we came home yesterday, went back out to the sound for some final snaps.
Thanks for looking!
