Space Invaders shower

LOL my BFF from HS is having a baby boy.. the theme is "Space Invaders" mixed with high tea (don't ask...:help1:)

anyways I was charged with favors (again)

I was really skeptical as her sister bought silicone space robot ice molds (roll eyes)

she bought all the stuff and sent me Shea butter base , colors and scents .. and I am tasked with 200 soaps.

in 10 mins this is the result... I am shocked! SO ADORABLE and EASY... ladies everyone I know is getting homemade soaps for Xmas! stuff is CHEAP organic and so NICE!

Love it! I want to make some cute soaps too! Biggrin
So you just take the shea butter base, and mix it with the scent you want and the color...then put it in the mold.?

you buy shea butter base it's 3 bucks for a pound
melt in micro 30 seconds .. then 10 sec intervals until melted like chocolate.
add a scent
add color
pour into a mold .. set in fridge for 15 mins!

there is a lady here who makes soap out of goats milk. Not all sure what else she puts in (besides fragrance), but in certain soaps, she adds what my friend calls "scrubbies"......it is like rock beads of some sort I would guess. ???

but my fave scent so far is called holiday spice.....cina scented...

Okay, I just dug this up because I'm attempting it tomorrow for a shower I'm co-hosting next weekend, it's a luau theme and we're having a pool party. I have flip flop molds and bought the shea butter base today. Any suggestions on colors and fragrance, I have to pick them up tomorrow and making them tomorrow night. Also, how did you package them? I was thinking just little cello bags with a hibiscus on top, but I don't know if that sounds cheesy.

Hey! Cute post your pics too!
colors I like bright yellow, red or coral and maybe a shade of teal or something. (what colors is the shower in?)
interestingly enough they sent a tester bottle of "mango peach salsa" fragrance and it was my favorite! I would go with a fruity smell.

I bought a 50 pack of sheer organza pull bags from Michaels in the wedding aisle.
I like your bag idea and I love the flower idea!

Good idea on checking the wedding aisle for the organza bags! I bought the soap base at Michael's and they had all the colors and scents there, but with my two helpers in tow I couldn't make a decision so I figured I'd go back without them and then got busy. So tomorrow the plan is to try again. It's a girl shower so we're doing lots of pink, but with the other bright summery colors in there too for a luau. I'll post pics when they're done Smile
