What is your favorite place to go on a day trip?
I don't often take day trips. But I did enjoy going to Cumberland Falls (in Eastern Kentucky) for a few overnight get-aways. It's beautiful there, but I've not yet gotten to see that elusive moonbow they supposedly have (but not for lack of trying!!).
Here's a pic I took one time we were there:
I'm hoping to take more day trips as Maia gets older--to the zoo, aquarium, things like that.
I love to go to the Oregon Coast for day trips or for overnight. Even when the weather is bad the storm watching is incredible and there is always something fun to do.
with the bus schedule here and little miss bugs nap schedule we haven't really done any trips. going to check out the zoo on monday (have a ride from sil!) then in aug we're going to fort ed park (again sil driving) the most we do is a trip to the mall for shopping and a nice restaurant lunch, we make that a day thing!
amanda that pic is gorgeous!
Banff is close enough for a day trip, and I love it, don't think we go out anywhere near often enough.
We don't really go anywhere more than half an hour drive, because Katie pretty much screams at the top of her lungs for the whole drive. We like to go to the zoo, we have a membership, and our local park. I know it's boring, but the kids like it! When they're older we'll probably go to Kings Island and The Wilds (nature preserve) that we can drive to easily for the day, but are too far to drive with my little screamer.
Carrie, I love King's Island! I can't wait until Maia's older to take her. Course, I haven't been there since 1996, but before that we used to go every summer. It was always a really fun time. I'm wondering how tricked out the kid's park is now. Remember when it was Hanna-Barbera Land?
Probably Myrtle Beach.
Amanda, yes I remember Hanna Barbera land I have no idea what theme it is now... I used to go as a camp counselor in the late 90s but haven't been to the park since.
