Have you ever met a celebrity?
no but once i met a guy while camping with my family that looked and sounded just like kevin bacon but he swore he wasn't. later found out that he had been on the island so it may have been him or not!
I met Mickey Carroll at Opry Mills in Nashville around 2001. He played 3 of the munchkins in the Wizard of Oz, my favorite movie as a kid.
I got this picture signed by him. This is just a pic I found online, but mine looks just like it.
DH & I met Sean Bean while we were wandering around London Zoo. He was there with his daughter. Very nice and very good looking man! We spoke to him briefly but didn't bother him too much.
We've also been in the same room, Abbey Road Studios cafeteria, with Nick Cave....although I didn't know who he was.
We also met/spoke with Brian Molko from the band Placebo. He was signing autographs and we made him laugh
There may have been others but I can't remember right now.
Well, I'm a science teacher so for me my celebrity is Bill Nye the Science Guy. I got to hear him speak and get my picture taken with him. It was incredibly disappointing... he was really dry and kind of a jerk about not wanting to get his pic taken.
Fun question!! I've met Timothy Zahn (author of some of the Star Wars novels... he created Mara Jade... Mara will understand ). I didn't get a pic with him, though... long story but I loaned my camera out to someone else who was there with the understanding I would get it back for my pic... and they didn't come back in time. I also met Johnny Rivers (60's singer... think 'Secret Agent Man'). I do have a picture with him but it was taken in 1999 before I had a scanner. LOL
When I was 7 years old I saw the local news-team at a Kentucky Fried Chicken and was starstruck!
Sadly not a lot of celebs roll through KY. (Though Johnny Depp's mom lives here and he is supposedly seen around town on occasion... I've never seen him, that's for sure!)
Dan Akroyd a couple of times while I was at University - he lived (at least part time!) in Kingston where I was studying and we'd see him around the bars during the summer time.
And Phil Collins' youngest kids go to the school where I teach - so I see/talk to him fairly often during the school year.
And a few members of the bands Tragically Hip and Spirit of the West (the other canadians will know how they are!) while I was at University as well. Partied a bit with them after they played at my Uni one night.
And a few Canadian authors while I was working in a bookstore in Calgary.
Met the guys from Nickleback one time, used to live two blocks from where Joe Newendick lived when he played with the Flames, and quite a few country singers from when DH worked at Ranchmans.
Do the Disney characters at Disney count?
They do to me. I would die if I met Donald Duck!!!
Tom Sellack used to have a house on the Columbia River (he still might) and he used to shop at our grocery store all the time! Got to shake his hand!!
