Where is the most interesting place you have visited?

I spent two weeks in San Salvador, Bahamas taking a class on coral reefs.

We snorkeled about 4 hours a day, and learned all about the algae, fish, and coral of the area. We did a research project while there as well.

The population of the entire island is only about 500-600 people, and where we stayed there was no air-conditioning, bugs all over, and really odd food. It was very primitive living conditions (no internet - eek!) but it was one of the best experiences of my life.

Here's a pic. I'm on the left of the prof. The best part about this pic? It was taken on a small island that we SWAM to. See the beach in the background? We swam from there (with inflated snorkel vests of course) and back again after our excursion. It was an exhausting swim but I was so proud of myself for doing it. Biggrin

Ha! Carrie! How can anyone follow that?! What an amazing experience! I looks beautiful.

It's hard for me to pick the most "interesting". I've been to Hawaii which was gorgeous. I saw the rainforest, saw beautiful flowers, snorkeled, played on the beach, etc. We also went to Grand Cayman and that was great as well. The snorkeling there was absolutely amazing. We saw a shark while snorkeling (a Nurse Shark so we were not in an danger). I fed stingrays out of my hand.

I've never been anywhere too out of my comfort zone. I'm sure there are more interesting places in terms of being more of a culture shock. The furthest I've been from home is London and it felt pretty much like home except for the accents. Wink

Most interesting would probably have to be Brisbane, for everything I learnt about myself living there for a year.

I have not traveled much at all. But I'd have to say Washington D.C. and specifically the Smithsonian. We went there two days in a row but I still didn't get to see everything. It was all so amazing. I especially loved seeing the dinosaurs. I have always been interested in them.

I must be the most boring person! HA! I have been to Canada and to Mexico and across the US...but that is about it. Every trip I take has something wonderful about it even if it is just to the Oregon Coast. The trips may not be interesting but they are always fun and make great memories!

Ha! Sorry, Lol Actually, nothing in my life can really follow it either! Every vacation I take I wish it was as good as that sweaty, dirty research trip!

Most interesting place was Abbey Road studios in London, with DH while him & his friends did some recording.

I've been lucky to travel a fair bit, although still not as much as I'd like. Rome was breathtaking.
