24 week update

Forgot to post this weekend because I turned 24 weeks on Saturday, just had a lot going on. Finally reached viability so I'm excited for that and in 10 more days I will be in double digits (99 days to go)! I'm doing okay, still having hip pain, and occasional back pain, but now my morning sickness is seeming to come back. It seems like in 2nd tri, it has been kinda coming and going in waves. Some days I'll feel completely fine, and other days I'll feel just miserable.

Kayden is a very active baby, but I noticed that he sleeps mostly during the day. He is up late nights and early mornings :o which hopefully is not a sign of things to come lol. He doesn't really like for things to be on my stomach for an extended period of time either. For example the other day, DF put the remote on my stomach and Kayden literally kicked twice until it fell off then wasn't as active after that. It seems like he likes to play with us already though because he'll kick or prod and area and one of us will poke back where he touched, and he'll respond. Pretty neat!

I have a growth ultrasound coming up on the 12th and my glucose testing is on the 25th.

Sounds like overall you and Kayden are both doing great! And a big fat YAY for viability! I have my glucose test on (I think) the 11th. How fun to have such an active baby. DD was very active, but this LO doesn't move much at all, to the point that I sometimes get pretty concerned about it. I'm glad everything is going so well for you!

Mine is real active throughout the day and night ha ha. Sometimes it seems like he doesn't stop moving and then the next day he hardly moves. Lately though he seems to be doing flips.

Yay for an u/s coming up though so you can see him again!

My glucose test happens in 2 weeks. Ugh. Hoping DH can get that hour or so off so I don't have to take DD2 with me ha ha.

Glad things are going good for you (minus the hip pain)!

Aside from the annoying preggo symptoms, sounds like it's smooth sailing from here! I have also had mostly only night time movement with this one. Sooooo hoping that doesn't mean problems sleeping in April & May!!

Sounds like your both doing great! Bummer that the m/s is still around some days. You've got an active little guy on your hands!

Thank you ladies! I definitely told my fiance that he has to have DS with him the day I do my glucose testing, because he gets really antsy and fidgety after sitting for so long. Then comes the whining and such and I know I won't want to deal with it lol. Usually they both go to my appointments with me, but I don't really see the purpose in them coming to my glucose testing when I'll mostly be sitting for a while.

I definitely have to bring up my issues with my hip pain at my next appt. It is so bad especially after sleeping (tossing & turning) during the night and I would like to get some relief. Pillows and warm baths aren't doing the trick. I honestly can't believe that I am still having morning sickness this late with this baby. With my first son, it was gone about a week or two after I hit 2nd trimester and from then on out I was fine except for heartburn.

I still get m/s off and on. In fact I had it last night after eating Mexican food! It really sucks.

Also I've been getting hip pains off and on and sometimes if it gets really bad I have taken Tylenol and that helped. Or a heating pad.

Unfortunately I don't think your OB will be able to do much for it. They may also say make sure you have a good mattress.

With my first daughter, I had a return of morning sickness for a few weeks, until 37 weeks. That's probably not at all what you want to hear... but it can be painful, especially if you do vomit, with that big of a belly. I didn't have it very much with my second daughter, but my first DD and I got a nasty stomach bug when I was 38 weeks with DD2, and that was PAINFUL!

Sorry to hear about your hip pain and m/s. Even if things are normal pg symptoms, they can be really tough. GL on on your GD testing!
