32/33 week appt update!

Things went good at the appointment. They just gave me another prescription to take for iron, which I have to start twice a day now. They said my iron was very very low, which I can tell because I am always exhausted to the point where I feel like passing out. I passed my GD test, which I was pretty sure that I did, so that was good news. Blood pressure was 92/48 (always weird numbers to me, but they don't really say much bad about it). I gained 4 lbs since my last appt 2 weeks ago :o, making my total weight gain for this pregnancy so far 16 pounds. I was surprised lol. Guess I need to slow down on the eating, but my dr says the baby is still measuring ahead so he thinks it is all pretty much baby weight & I said boob weight as well lol.

His heartrate was 150 and he was very active as always. He did tell me that he could tell I was having contractions during the appointment while getting the heartbeat and fundal height measure measurements, but just told me to stay hydrated and rest as often as possible. My Dr said to head to the hospital if I'm having 5 or more contractions in an hour since I pretty much have them all day long, so just keep an eye on that. My next appt is March 7th at 11:30 am and the following one is March 21st at 2:40 pm. After those two, I start my weekly appointments!

Happy to hear it was a good appointment, and they were able to suggest more iron. I hope that does the trick!!

OMG...I had just posted a really long post and hit the wrong button & deleted everything-grrr! But anyways, haven't really noticed an improvement in my energy levels yet, but I'll give it another week or so to fully judge it. I only have the fun side effect-constipation to show as a result of the iron, but I've been eating lots of foods that help combat that so hopefully everything evens itself out soon. I had quite a hard fall this weekend on our concrete porch. I fell on my back (around the waist or pelvic bone area) and it totally scared me, so I ended up going to see my dr today. All is well with baby, I'm just sore and a little bruised up but fine. I did notice though that since my fall I've been losing even more of my mucus plug, so I have definitely been keeping an eye on that. It always makes me nervous though because with my first son, the day I lost my mucus plug was the same exact day I had him. Plus I have been having contractions-which is normal for me this pregnancy, but they aren't in any set pattern so I'm okay. Sorry for taking so long to check back in with you ladies. I do appreciate the responses though Smile OAN: I can't believe I only have 6 weeks and 5 days to go (if baby comes on time) and I'm feeling so unprepared. We have everything, except we don't have anything assembled yet! So hopefully my fiance gets to that soon lol.

Wow I'm glad you're okay and of course that you're LO is okay!! Any kind of fall in any time during pregnancy is scary!

We're all getting so close it's crazy! I think I'll stop stressing about mine coming soon once I'm officially 36 weeks since we'll be moved into our new house and if he's born then he won't have to be at a hospital over an hour away. This weekend I was having a lot of contractions (when I was actually awake ha ha) and kept having to calm myself down and hope they'd go away.

Also, to help with constipation (which I remember with DD1 how horrible I had it when I had to take iron pills!) you can try Miralax. That's what I took early in this pregnancy because the prenatals stopped me up so bad.

Hopefully you'll get your energy back soon, esp since we're all gonna need our energy once our LOs arrive!!!

Sad OUCHIE!!! That fall sounds miserable!
....and I hope the benefits start outweighing the down-sides to iron supplements!

Yeah, the fall definitely was. I fell so hard that you could actually hear it. I'm surprised things were only bruised. I will have to try some Miralax, thank you for the suggestion. I hope that I get my energy back soon too. I can tell a slight improvement, but I'm hoping once my levels get back to an acceptable range that I start to feel like myself again.
