34 week appointment

I had my 34 week appointment today . My OB started NSTs, which I'll be having weekly. Everything went really well, so I'm thrilled. She stopped the machine in 22 minutes, even though I was told it would an hour for the testing, because she got all the data she needed. She did a mini u/s afterwards to check for fluid levels and baby's position. The best news was that my LO, who was breech at the last visit, is in proper position! Thank goodness. Last night, I was on the web looking up what all I could do to turn him around. I'm glad I won't have to go that route - as long as he stays put now.

I'll be getting a full u/s at week 36, to confirm appropriate growth (I have a clotting disorder for which I'm on daily blood thinners, and I'm old with a hx of m/c, so they are monitoring the baby closely).

Will there be problems or things that have to be considered during your delivery because of your clotting disorder?

Yeah, unfortunately it means a scheduled induction. I was really bummed about that the first time around, but have accepted it for the best. They don't want me on blood thinners when I go into labor and deliver, because of blood loss concerns. They don't want me off the blood thinner for long either, because of the danger of the baby not getting enough oxygen (which they believe was the cause of at least one of my miscarriages). So, I will be bridged to a more frequent/lower dosage of blood thinner starting in 1-2 weeks, and will be given instructions to stop the blood thinners the day or night before the scheduled induction.

Last time, I was induced 5 days before my EDD. I was appropriately dilated and everything went fine and I vaginally delivered about 12 hours after the start of induction.
