appt update + more

I had some concerns at my appt on Friday, and I was REALLY hoping for the answer I got. Wednesday night I had 1/4" edema/pitting/indent from where my socks hit my ankles. Beee It HURT. The next day, after being on my feet less and wearing very loose socks, they were still indented just as much. I've had swelling with my other pregnancies, but not that sudden or extreme. I also saw some little dots dancing across my vision on Thursday. I know those *can* be signs of hypertension, but there wasn't enough for me to call the doctor, so I waited.

Turns out my BP is PERFECT for me (120/72), no protein in my urine, baby HB perfect, and no weight gain in 2 weeks (I weigh too much to start out, so this is good). Apparently it was a fluke. YAY!

Also- babiesrus had this promotion start up, so I took a stroller someone had left at the dumpster by my apartments (obviously intended to for pick up), and "exchanged" it for 25% this super dreamy pack&play I wouldn't have otherwise dreamed of :

I got that thing set up within minutes of getting it home, and DH wouldn't leave me alone till I got the batteries in, so he could mess with all the buttons. My cousin (a young single father) asked if it comes with the optional ball pit for when they're older. HAHA!

Lol I love that you did what I would've done...take the stroller by the dumpster!

But I'm glad you got your pack n play that you wanted. We're starting to get our room in order as well and hopefully will get the pack n play set up at the end of Feb, but if not it doesn't take anything to get it up.

Also yay for a good appt and glad nothing was wrong!

Sorry about the swelling! Glad it's just that. You could just be overdoing it on your feet. Take a load off and put your feet up!!! LOL

Awesome idea on the stroller switch for a discount!!!!

Although it's not usually my "style" I was thinking of doing this playpen - because it's just so sunny and happy LOL

I do wonder if the bright colors might overstimulate baby though. What do you think?

I always heard that baby's prefer blacks, whites, and reds because their eye sight isn't as good or something, but to me it seems like my kids enjoyed bright colors because whenever they'd see yellow or green their eyes seemed to light up.

So glad that the swelling was a fluke and that everything looks ok.
Wow, that is some pnp! You don't even need a nursery with a thing like that. Great that you were able to use that stroller you found to get the price down.

Whew, glad that there is nothing wrong and you're doing great! I've noticed by the end of the day my feet are swollen. Gotta keep them up more!!

Awesome on the new pack-n-play! Talk about snazzy!!!
