Appts. and Stuff

My chiropractor works magic I think. Had my adjustment this week and feel so great. Was having odd right hip/butt area pain. Turns out it isn't my sciatic this time but I actually somehow hurt the muscle there. I've been having a hard time carrying my 16 month old up and down the stairs and I think that hurt it or made whatever I did worse. Anyway, he couldn't 'fix' that problem but the adjustment he did took loads of pressure off that area and made it feel way better. Now I go every thursday until LO arrives. So glad I decided to hook up with a chiro this pregnancy.

Also had my 36 week appt. on Friday (none of the OB's I've seen will honor what I think is my due date so being a week ahead was my best compromise  ) and everything looked good. BP and urine stuff looks perfect and no other issues. Had my GBS swab, confirmed LO is head down and LOA (yay), and was able to decline all internal exams unless I ask for one ever. Just have to register for ahead at the birth center and I'm good to go. I'm skipping next week's appt. since the OB doesn't have any times that work for me and she was even cool with that.

And in non-appointment related news, invites for my Mommy Blessing and Baby Bake off went out! I'm so excited to be having something like this! About a dozen friends will be coming over on March 31 to help prepare all the freezer meals I planned on making and will be also brings extra stuff to feed our freezer. You guys don't even know how much that helps me out and will mean to me for weeks after our LO arrives. I know there are some other Mommy Blessing things that will take place that day but don't know those details. I can't wait!

Glad your chiropractor was able to give you some relief. That's always good!

And it sounds like your appts are going good too.

That's really cool that you're having a bunch of people come help you cook. I had DH help me cut up veggies when I did meals lol. That was about it. It it was mainly the onions lol. It's nice to have great friends like that!

That's awesome, Joy!! Sounds like things are really working out well for you. I'm so glad, since I was worried about your VBAC and finding a good provider. I love the idea of the party to help get food stored up!! It makes me want to do that, but first I need to make some friends in my town! Being a hermit is not conducive to making friends.

Chiropractic care is THE BEST thing I have done out of all 3 pregnancies. I don't know how I survived the first two without it. Mine made my sciatic pain disappear completely, and at nearly 36 weeks I am moving around like I was pre-pregnancy - minus the out of breath feeling all the time. But my body is holding up great!! Maybe you could see about a massage right before your next adjustment to work out those muscles. I went ahead and scheduled one for my next adjustment, they said it was best to do it right before and then end with the adjustment.

And yay for a Mother's Blessing. I just had one Sunday and it was super awesome. Such a wonderful feeling to be surrounded by all the women I love. Have fun and post some pics!! Let us know how it goes.

Awesome on all accounts! Biggrin I have been LOVING my chiro, too! Even if it doesn't last long anymore, I feel AMAZING after I leave his office!
