Black Friday

Is anyone doing black Friday shopping?

I think I'll go to the PX on Friday because they have a good deal on batteries ha ha. Other than that I'm not sure. I was wanting to try and find a few toys to donate for "Toys for Tots" so I might end up going to Walmart or Big Lots.

NO!!!!! If I had to fight those crowds, I would probably hurt somebody! I just don't have the patience for it. I am planning to stay up and start shopping online at midnight. Thanks for the reminder about Toys for Tots.....I have things in the closet (overflow/duplicates from birthdays and such) that need to be donated!

No Black Friday here in Canada. Have to wait till Boxing Day for MAJOR sales. I would not fight the early morning crowds but would maybe head out a bit later in the day. We are heading to Pennsylvania. This weekend to get some clothes deals but that is about it.

We live in a small town so I figure Black Friday around here won't be too bad. At least I'm hoping. I'm pretty much done with Christmas shopping (minus small things for my family because we haven't picked names on who gives a gift to who this year...happens in Thanksgiving when everyone is together, except us since we're in CA ha ha). I got the girls toys last year after Christmas stuff went on 75% off at Target and again in August (drove an hour for that ha ha) and DH's stuff was mostly bought online (comics and DS games). Although I had forgotten about Toys for Tots or else I would've picked up a lot of doubles of some toys (I only remember when I see the boxes ha ha).

Other than that, I'm not really headed for a certain item. I've never actually been Black Friday shopping because I've always bought stuff early (usually by September!) so I'm a little interested at how it'll be.

We live in the middle of 2 pretty good sized towns....one has all the usual stores like Wal-Mart, Target, mall with dept. stores, TRU and all that stuff and on the town on the other side has a large outlet mall, so it gets pretty rough around here! There are often fights that break out over parking places and items! ROFL People are so dumb sometimes!!

I love the craziness of black Friday shopping, I live for it every year LoL. My hubby has insisted he go with me for the last 3 years though. The first year I went while we were together I was pg with DS and he later found out about all of the pushing and whatnot and now he just rather me not go alone. We usually start at about 5 pm on Thanksgiving (waiting in lines that is)

I worked in retail for part of high school and college. I got to see first hand how CRAZY people get on Black Friday. I chose from that day forward I won't go shopping that day. BUT, I will take advantage of the cyber monday deals! No fighting crowds or waiting in lines at the register Biggrin

I browse some stores online but that is about it. We live really far out from big stores & I go crazy dealing with crowds.
