Boy or Girl?

Just for fun I may get one of these Biggrin

I've seen the other tests, but this one has gotten more and better reviews. I know nothing is 100%, and honestly there's a 50/50 shot of being right...BUT, it'd be fun anyways!

I've thought about getting something like that but then decided my husband would tell me it's "a waste of money" even though I'm just having fun ha ha.

However, that doesn't stop me from doing the old wives tales that are suppose to predict gender, just for fun also. We have two girls and are hoping for a boy this time. Although even if we have another girl we'll be just as happy (just means I have to pick out a girl name since I know the boy's name!)

Also, my husband told me if we have another girl it's my fault because I must have bully X chromosomes that beat up his Ys and that's how we always get a girl. LOL!

If you get it you must share results with us and then the results from the ultrasound. It would be fun to see if it was right!

Those gender tests go off he PH in your urine. You can do the same thing with the cabbage test (much cheaper). We had quite a few ladies do this around 10 weeks on my last BB. Here's how it works (in case anyone wants to try it). Though for some of us, it may be better just to buy the tests. Biggrin

1. Go to the store and buy a red cabbage. The size of the cabbage does not matter at all.
2. Cut the cabbage into big chunks. The smaller you cut the chunks, the better your results will turn out.
3. Boil some water on the stove and put in the chunks of cabbage
4. Let the water and cabbage boil for about 10 minutes or so. When the ten minutes is up, remove it from the heat.
5. Grab a cup and go to the bathroom! Pee into the cup.
6. In a separate cup, mix 1 part of your urine to 1 part of the water that the cabbage was boiled in. No need to save the cabbage unless you want to eat it. It's pretty tasty, so you might want to eat it!
If the urine/cabbage water turns pink or red then this indicates a boy result!
If the urine/cabbage water turns purple, this indicates a girl result.

Well I decided to have fun since I had some red cabbage! Lol.

If it is correct, I will be having a BOY! Ha ha, come on cabbage test, be true!

Of course I have about 8 weeks until I find out for sure, but it was fun. The liquid looked like cranberry juice lol! But the boiled cabbage water smelled like burning pumpkins ha ha.

Can I save the cabbage water I didn't use and try again in the morning? Lol.

Wow, that's kind of cool! Never even heard of the cabbage test. Seems a bit more complicated, but I might just be able to try that Smile

This one has me really curious. If I can remember, I think I might be getting some cabbage next time I'm at the store! Smile
