SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO today I scored a FREE elliptical. I'm excited that I can start working out with it. Lol seriously, DH is going to be like WTH when he gets home lol. I got all new furniture (and have sold some of our old ) and then I'll have this exercise machine. Yay.

Also I got a set of DVDs called signing time for the girls and they love it. They are learning some sign language and just dancing along

I had a horrible night. I feel horrible.

Yesterday started off well. I bought a new dress (okay someone wore it one time but it's fine ), got a few free things, got some skirts that will fit me (6 for $10), and got the pie crusts for when DH comes home I can make a pudding pie thing.
Then I got a good deal on a bunch of diapers and supposedly I am getting rid of both of my loveseats I have for sale. Yay.

Then last night DH got to call and I talked to him for a little bit. Then we had dinner and it was time for bed.

We can't find DD2's elephant blanket. She's had it since she was born and she has to have it to sleep with. We looked for 2 1/2 + hours last night for it and can't find it anywhere. All I can think is what if I left it at the store in the cart. I ALWAYS make sure but yesterday was hectic because Desmond was getting hungry and screaming and my girls were getting hungry for lunch. So when we got home I just got DD2 out and got Des out and went inside to feed him. I don't remember much else except DD1 helped me carry in groceries that couldn't be left in the car. I know when we went out again DD2 didn't have her elephant.

I'm so worried I left it in the cart. It was one of those rocketship carts that are hard to steer and everything. But I swear when we walked from where we return carts to the car that when I said "Hand" she grabbed my hand with the same hand she was holding her blanket in. But I can't find it in the house. I've searched all the kids' rooms, my room, the bathroom, under couches and cushions, I even went through the trash can! I looked in the car, under the car, in the garage. I've been crying since last night because it breaks my heart that I lost her blanket! She screamed and cried off and on all last night. I feel terrible. I dunno what to do.

She has a back up blanket just like it, but she knows that's not the right one. She kept saying "No elephant Ew!" and throwing it. When she was looking through the house for it she was shouting "Elephant! Where are you!" and it was so sad. I dunno what to do now.

I called the store this morning but they don't open until 10. The manager gets there about 9 and he is suppose to call me back to let me know if someone turned it in or not. I mean I really don't think someone would throw it away if they found it. You can tell it's a kid's blanket that is really loved. And I definitely don't think someone would take it lol.

I was so sure she was playing with it after we got home for good. my girls were playing with My Little Ponies and she was making elephant talk...I'm just sure. BEcause DD1 was laughing that DD2 makes her elephant talk in a deep voice. I just dunno where else to look. I dunno what to do to make her feel better because she's still asking where it is.

I called 3 times and every time was the same: no one had turned it in. The last time I asked a few questions (If it was in the parking lot would the works pick it up or do they not clean it etc) and the lady got irritated! She told me how they hire a company to clean it and after I said thank you she hung up on me. She must not be a mother.

I called so many times because someone told me to call back throughout the day to see if it was ever found. So I am going up there today and if it's not there then it must be SOMEWHERE in the house. I swear it has to be but I've been so sleep deprived with DD2's night terrors and it seems like the times she's asleep Desmond is awake and I have trouble sleeping anyway...I just can't remember. Although last night I swear I remember scooping her up, putting her in her carseat and buckling her and then handing her her elephant like I always do. So I'm hoping I find it when we go through the house to get rid of stuff for our garage sale in two weeks. I'm just hoping DH will actually help me look because he would do the whole "She should've kept track of her own things" bit which irritates me because lets face it...she's TWO! Ugh (he did that at the hospital after I had Des...I told him to make sure he had all the toys she brought and his response was "No, if she wants to bring them she needs to keep track of them, and if they get left oh well." This is because when he was a kid his mom would throw things away in a moments notice so he didn't have any special things like the kids have...and I had as a kid

(sigh) I'm just so tired because DD2 was waking up crying for her elephant. But the good thing is for the time being I have tricked her. She has a back up one, but she doesn't like it very much because that's not to real elephant, but yesterday I got the idea that if I washed it and tried to make it look a little more worn and hand it to her with DD1's bunny blanket then she might believe I found it. It didn't work at first, but then she finally took it, looked it in the face and the writing on the blanket and decided it was okay and rubbed it on her face and hugged it and everything. So for now it'll work, but she keeps looking at it's face and I think she has an idea it's not the real one but just wants an elephant she she'll take it.

I hope I find the real one soon.

DH came back late Saturday night and I made him promise to help me look for DD2's blanket. She knows the one she has isn't the real one because she will ask for her other.

Anyway so last night DH was putting away his laundry (we have two closets in our room) and he calmly walks over to me and throws her elephant on me! She had hid it in his closet! I swear I checked there at least 3 times and somehow never saw it! But I was (and still am) so happy that he managed to just come home and find it!

DD2 is so happy she's been hugging it and making her other toys love on it.

I am so tired too. I just don't feel like I'm sleeping. Last night Des went to sleep around midnight and got up at 6 AM and I swear it didn't feel like I slept at all. Ugh I wish I could have a whole day just to sleep ha ha.

Glad you found it! It can be so maddening when you know it is somewhere but can't find it!
