:lurk:
If you're not doing it already, I would feed him some avocado. They are high in healthy fats and will help him to put on some weight. My little guy was born in January and at his 4 month checkup he was 14.4 lbs and 24 inches. He was in the 75th percentile at 1 & 2 months, dropped down to 50th percentile at 4 months and by his 6 months checkup he was in the 25th percentile. The Dr. said to bring him back in 7 weeks for another weight check and said that she wanted to do some testing if his percentile kept dropping. He didn't care for baby cereal at all, so I started giving him mashed up avocado with fruit for breakfast and he loved it. I feed him avocados every day for breakfast. He had his follow up weight check last week and he gained 1.6 lbs in 7 weeks. The Dr. was thrilled and said that she is no longer concerned about his weight as he is back on his curve.
:bigarmhug: I hope everything works out and that he does not need to be put through all that testing.

As long as he is hitting all of his milestones on time or early I wouldn't worry.
Laryssa my first is only 42 lbs and 48 inches tall she just turned 9. We have been there done that with her. She was 7lbs 15 ozs when she was born at 36 weeks (GD baby) at a year old she only weighed 14 lbs, 2 she was 18 lbs.... They swore something was wrong, called child protective services on me, I ended up supplementing her with formula at 6 months due to them swearing that my breast milk wasn't fatting enough... stupid me I believed them and was worried I was hurting my child. Ended up she is just small and will probably be very small her whole life. The testing wasn't that bad and she definitely doesn't remember any of it and it did give me a peace of mind that she was completely healthy and there was nothing to worry about. Would I do it again, probably not.

That's what Desmond's dr was saying...he wasn't sure if my milk just didn't provide enough fats. (Lol I've already donated a bunch of milk to people too! So it better be lol)
I think it's just that he's a small kid. My girls are tall and thin now and back when they were little they were around his size. I was smaller as a baby! I was 11 lbs and something oz at his age! And the drs were fine with it as long as I kept gaining.
I'm just scared they're going to try and make me let them do tests on him just to prove what I already know - that he's a small child.

Yea that is what they did to us the Dr said I needed to have these test done and what I refused they called Child Protective Services on me saying I was refusing my child medical attention and then I pretty much got scared into the tests. I was 21 and a young naive mom...

That's part of why I wanna make sure my husband can go with us because maybe he can be my rock and say no. I just don't want him to go through that.
