    Default Discharge?

The past 2-3 days I've been having white discharge. It's real milky looking but sort of thick and sort of runny. Does that make sense?

I stopped bleeding a while ago and I haven't had any discharge for about 2 weeks now (no pads for that long!) I know that when you exclusively BF you may not get your period for a long time. However, I pump and have been BFing every now and then (meaning not all day at times...sometimes I only do it 2x a day, other times I do it most of the day). Could it be that I'm already ovulating and could probably see my period back in the next few days or so? I have been cramping a few times a day the past 2-3 days as well. With DD1 I bled for 6 weeks straight (I went from bleeding after giving birth to slacking off to my period again) and I don't remember how long after DD2 I bled for or when my next period came.

I'm not looking forward to getting my period again lol! Anyway, what could this discharge be? Thanks!

You could be Oing and getting ready to have your cycle return. Some BF moms get it back right away and some it takes forever. With DS1 it came back at 6 months when he weaned and DS2 it was 8 months just a month after he started solids. I guess I wouldn't rule out the return of AF causing the discharge.

Definitely could be your cycle returning. Tori Spelling was breastfeeding and got pregnant right after her last baby. With DS1 mine took over a year to come back, but I think I was lucky.

    I agree!

If I'm remembering correctly, AF returned about 6 weeks after my first two. REALLY hoping this time around is not the same!

Just becuase you are breast feeding and have not gotten your period yet, does not mean you can't get pregnant, so be careful!!

I had a Mirena IUD put in after DD and DS#1. Then got pregnant right after having them taken out within 1-2 weeks.

Sometimes it might mean your body is gearing up to O--so you might not actually ovulate, but could have several waves of EWCM as your body tries to get ready. If you have a long break in the breastfeeding, that could jumpstart AF.

(I did this on purpose once--I didn't nurse for 20 hours when DS was 1.5 to start my fertility again and TTC. It worked, and my period started within a few weeks)
