So I woke up around 4:50-5:00 AM with intense cramping. I was literally in tears, couldn't move, it hurt if my legs moved, lots of pain. I cried to DH that something was wrong I had to go. So we took me to the ER at 5:20 after getting the kids up and driving to the base.
One of the guys who works there actually remembered me ha ha. He asked about my kids and everything. He told me it was okay, that there were people who came to the ER a lot more than me ha.
Anyway, I was cramping real bad...much much much worse than any period cramps I have ever had (and I don't remember what labor feels like because really, who wants to remember that?!) So they took my vitals and some blood to rule out infection. They checked the heartbeat of LO (s/he was moving around a lot earlier and I let them know that) and they said the HB was excellent (144).
They gave me Tylenol for the pain and said they could give me something stronger but I declined since they're not sure how safe for the baby it would be. Finally they checked me for a UTI (nope!) and did an ultrasound just to check. The dr was a little excited because she said everyone who comes in pregnant is mainly in 1st trimester, so it was exciting to see an almost 20 week old baby on the u/s. She did say she had no idea how to check gender so she couldn't tell me.
After about 2 1/2 hours there (freezing!) they couldn't tell me anything. They said they could only rule out what it wasn't. They checked my pancreas (nope) and my tubes (nope) and still have no idea what's wrong. They told me if I got chills or fever or bleeding to come back, but I only have some sharp pains and a headache. No fever (I checked). They want me to follow up on Monday with the OB so I'll be calling them then.
I guess this is how I'm celebrating being 20 weeks tomorrow. Ha.
Has anyone else been getting pains like this? I feel stupid always going to the ER but the pain was horrible.
