feeling really "off" today ...

It's been a weird few days for me. Yesterday I was STARVING all morning so I got a tuna sandwich on a bagel (#1 craving for me right now) at around 11 a.m. I ate that and then could barely eat anything for the rest of the day - I felt SO full and bloated. I was super tired too and went to bed really early - I was so tired, I actually felt sick. You know the feeling?

I woke up this morning with a backache and really had to go to the bathroom. The weird thing is, it's like I can pee only a tiny amount at a time! This sounds dumb because I am pregnant, but it feels like I have something big in my abdomen that's pushing everything aside. Blum 3 I think maybe the baby is pressing on my bladder or intestines? My abdomen feels tender when I press on it, too. I felt nauseous all morning until just a little while ago. I'm drinking a smoothie now.

Anyway, I'm going to get checked at 11:30 to see if they can figure out what's going on. Has anyone felt this before? I thought I had a long time to go before I started feeling uncomfortable!

Baby probably isn't big enough to be causing any pressure on your bladder yet. Sounds like you might have a UTI or something like that going on. Hopefully they can figure it out and get you feeling better fast! Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Some mornings I'm like that, when I get up to go to the bathroom. I kind of figure it's because I haven't had enough to drink the night before so there's not much in my bladder, even though it feels full.

I hope they figure out what's wrong and I hope it's nothing! Oh and a smoothie sounds amazing right now!

Thanks! I went to the dr and they confirmed it's the baby just settling in and getting comfortable and moving things out of the way. Thanks a lot baby! The NP I saw said that where the baby/uterus is right now is right near my bladder, which is what's causing the pressure. They are also checking for a UTI but didn't find anything right away, so we'll see if that's an issue at all.

I am feeling better and am eating some lunch - still not a great appetite, but it's better than it was! I hope I don't have this to look forward to for the next 6 months!

You know, I noticed my appetite dropping down a lot around 13/14 weeks too. Maybe just the nature of losing the stomach room?

Glad you have no UTI though. Good news!

You better watch out....that little thing is already causing issues at only 14 weeks old....you could be in for it!! ROFL Glad everything checked out good!

Glad you got checked out and there isn't a UTI issue. I thought maybe that could be it too. I'm with you on the eating though and will be starving and only get a few bites in before I'm just done. Always happens during my pregnancies.

I'm glad to hear that's normal! I think I will be making another smoothie for dinner ... everything else seems to take up too much room!

NO symptoms surprise me during pregnancy, honestly. My rule of thumb, is if I ever suspect UTI, I automatically start drinking a few cups of cranberry juice and keep myself EXTRA clean on the outside at least. Even if it takes hours/ day(s) to get to the doctor, it's easier to be proactive than miserable.
