One of the perks of switching providers late in pregnancy, combined with measuring massive- means yet another growth ultrasound. I'm not complaining in the least, because I love seeing my little one. Of course, at this stage, and if I am measuring as big as I think I am, everything's going to be squished anyway. My regular OB appt (at the new doc, WOOT!) is tomorrow afternoon, so I won't have official results til then.
On another note, I'm also eager to hear of any sign of cervical progress, so I've had my husband check for dilation half-way in between appointments. After all of these relatively annoying, yet harmless contractions, I've gone from hard, tight steel trap cervix; to relatively squishy and a fingertip dilated in the past week. It may not seem like much to some, but I am considering this an excellent sign, and hopefully the middle-of-the-night contraction spells that wake me up are doing something. I am not a fan of being woken up at 5 this morning. :-\
I will update in this thread later today, especially if we can get a photo of my squished little one. lol
They tell me the estimated size, based on combined measurements, but not much detail. I've seen enough u/s results to know what to look for. I'm hoping my cervix looks more like an hourglass, than at my last appointment. Last time, there was a hairline opening in the cervix, which is as tight as it gets. I don't mind waiting 1.5 days til tomorrow, if that's all it is.
Yay for getting to see LO again! It's never a bad thing to get to see that little face!
Hopefully you'll be more dilated, because right now it seems like we all want these kids out of us lol!

Here's what I know, based on the limited info they could give me, and from my sneaky u/s-reading abilities:
HE IS STINKIN BREECH! :-\ What a trouble-maker already!
The tech told me his head is measuring past her charts (I saw 42w5d+) :-\ again
His femur is measuring 37 weeks.
We could see HAIR on the ultrasound! OMGOODNESS that much hair that we could see it?!
So, I have determined that I am carrying Sasquatch. LOL
