week 1 over how's everyone doing?
I was planning to start c25k again but felt good so just decided to go for it and see how I do. I ran 3k without stopping so excited and my pace was pretty close to where I left off (aka very slow) hopefully I can start to build on that and get faster.
Going again today, I took 2 days off....planning just one but my hips were still sore yesterday. I should've done yoga but we were out ALL day saturday and yesterday I was feeling blah (yes yes I know even more reason sigh)

Anna that's interesting about the lactic acid. Had a quick look and found a few thoughts. One is that not issues. Other was that it's only in there for a short while so if you feed before you workout it should be fine. Ditto one fussing as soon as you start ugh they sure have great timing. I'm lucky that I have extra help in the house. I've decided that if I want to workout I'm going to, I feed Adam and them pass him to dh and will go for a run. I'll never leave for that long and never without feeding him but still I need this attitude or I'll never workout.

I haven't been excercising formally, but have been chasing after my kids... definitely need some inspiration to get out and move more!
This weekend we went for a 5km hike on the beaches... it was gorgeous, but it took us nearly 5 hours since we were checking out shells, and driftwood and seaweed (and we stopped to roast marshmellows!!) Didn't get the heartrate up, but at least we were outside and active!! Going to try even harder to get out and be more active with them this week!
This week I am finishing week 5 of my C25K. That means a 20 minute straight run, no stopping. It will be tough but I am sure I can do it. The most I have done so far is 8 mins straight and 16 mins total so is it a bit of a step up. I am also helping a friend be motivated with her C25K, so I will run a wk 2 run with her. Jamie and I have started having date nights on Mondays. Which means my parents take the kids and we do a run and play some tennis, this has been fun. Yesterday was our second one. We get a chance to connect and be active together. We are only gone for 2 hrs at the most and Emma will take a bottle if she needs it. I am down 2lbs which is good especially since I am not really watching what I eat. We go camping this weekend so hopefully I can get a run in there.
DH got home late Saturday night and Sunday we took the kids to the water park.
We want to try and get out every weekend and do things. It'll be nicer once we have the garage sale because we're turning the garage into a workout place. We've got weights and the machines out there and we plan on working out together once the kids are asleep for the night. I'm excited!
