Heidi's 6 month check up

So, Heidi had her 6 month appointment today... not much to report, she is sitting, rolling when she is in the mood, but only one role at a time, but happy and so curious!!

Heidi is only 15lbs 14oz which means she has fallen even further down the percentiles... She started at 50% and has been slowly dropping and is now 35 percentile. I'm not worried because she is so alert, curious and busy, busy, busy.. but I have to go back for a weight check in a month. This is so different that my first daughter who was in the 85 percentile at this age!!

Oh well, I'm sure she is fine and just following her own growth pattern, but I'm glad the doctor is going to keep a bit of a closer eye on her just in case.

Isn't it crazy how fast time is going!? ah the fun weight checks. I'm glad they're keeping an eye on her weight, but I'm sure she's fine!

Does she have any more teeth coming in?

I don't think there are any more teeth yet... mostly because she is sleeping through the night again!!! When she was teething, she was up at night, and as soon as they popped through, she went back to 11 hour nights!!!!!!!!! I actually feel awake!

Sounds like she is doing well. I am totally jealous about all that sleep!

My DS2 was born at the 90% and went down to the 10% during is first few months for no real reason. He hovers around the 20th now at almost 2. I hated weight checks all the time. It was just the way is body grew though and he always developed well. So different from DS1 (like you mentioned your older one) that was always in the 90th and Archer now that is always in the 50th.

Sounds like she is doing awesome to me. Someone has to be in the lower percentiles, they can't all be in the 50% or above. Just because some kids are smaller doesn't mean they are any less healthy or that something is wrong. I hate how some doctors want every kid to fit this little mold. She sounds perfect to me!
