He's HUGE! Kole's 4 month appt.!

At her 4 month appointment, DD was:
16lbs 10oz, 25 3/4inches long, 17in head

Kole is almost the same size now that Lyla was at her 9month appointment. Kole is:

20lbs, 27 1/2inches long, and a 17 3/4inch head! Wow.

The pediatrician said she doesn't really worry about weight in a breast-fed baby as long as their growth is relatively proportional and she diagnosed him as perfect. He is in the 97th percentile.

I remember thinking that Lyla was a big baby, but this one totally has her beat. He was not a fan of his shots, but is sleeping now. I hope he does well the rest of the day.

Wow he is growing amazingly! I can't believe he's that big...lol he's almost double Desmond!

I hope he feels better after the shots, they're never fun.

Wow! I thought Emma was big. She was 18 lbs 6 oz, 26.5" but Kole beats her. Way to grow Kole.

I thought DD was huge back when. This is just crazy. As proud as I am that he is growing so well, I miss the tiny baby I was supposed to get.

He didn't do well with his shots. He had the same reaction he did at 2 months. It's been a very long afternoon and evening. Poor guy.

So sad. Is he feeling better today?

I know when Des got his shots he didn't feel good the next day especially. They day he got them he mostly just slept.

Kole didn't start acting more like himself until Tuesday. He's still got a hard lump on his legs where they did the injections. I hate those stupid shots. I wish I could do some delayed vaccinations to spread them out a little bit more. Ugh.

I heard you can request to have them more spread out. When my sister took her first daughter in one time, they wanted to give her like 4 or 5 shots when she was a couple months old and she refused. The dr didn't like that she said no, but she did get those a little more spread out.
Although that dr was...I dunno...odd I guess. When her daughter was really sick they tried to say she was fine. She ended up switching pediatricians after she got a 2nd opinion that time.

But I'm glad he's feeling better. Smile

awww cute chunks Smile that's what I love about bf there's no real concern in their weight can't overfeed

The nurse told me last time the lump (if they get) is just the stuff from the injection stuck in their muscle and needs time to workout, I think you can massage it to help it move.

That's better info than I ever get out of my pediatricians office. I really need to research new pediatricians. . .

Katie, I can't spread them out. The pediatricians in this town refuse to do that and the insurance we have requires on schedule vaccinations or we lose coverage. Stupid.

That stinks. I hate insurance companies some times...

Also, when we got Desmond's done, they said NOT to massage it because it can cause scar tissue, just to put warm compresses on the area. Odd that there's different things said. Either way, luckily Des hasn't gotten any lumps.
