High Chairs

My grandpa wants to buy us a high chair so I'm searching Wal Mart to see what I can find. I just found this interesting one, the Evenflo- Convertable High Chair http://www.walmart.com/ip/Evenflo-Convertible-High-Chair-Dottie-Lime/19411168

Does anyone have this or has used one?

Can't comment on that one, but just thought I'd share ours with you. Not sure what your space situation is, but we live in a smallish condo and I just did not want another massive piece of baby equipment taking up residence if we could avoid it! Fisher Price makes an awesome space saver chair that very securely attaches to your current chair, effectively taking up no space whatsoever! I loooove it. It was also really handy on the rare occasions that we were going to dinner at someone else's house and could just bring it with us in the car. The tray is super easy to snap on/off and clean.

That is kinda neat looking. Never seen one of those. I also like the wooden ones that turn into an adult chair as I think they can be used longer.

I'm not big on the full size high chair cause it takes up so much room and is used for such a short about of time. I felt that with my last 2 that the highchair/booster combo things that attach to regular kitchen chairs were much more space saving and used longer. They boys love being at the table with use and I usuallly ditch the tray part 2-3 months after they start eating.

We have a small kitchen and no dining room, so we double our island as a eat-in bar. Unfortunately, our bar stools are rounded seats, I dont know if that would fit securely on there or not?

I second the Space Saver. Mine buckles across the back of the chair and the seat part as well. I would think if you had the seat tightly on the seat part it would be okay, but I'm not for sure.

I use to have an Evenflo one for DD1 and I liked it in the sense that it adjusted in a bunch of different heights, so if I was on the floor I could lower it all the way down and I could feed her. It also folded up.

However, I like my space saver a lot more because it is like a booster seat now and DD2 can actually climb up into the seat by herself now.

I'm so confused! LOL I think I'm going to go with my first choice. I like that it converts into a little chair and table set for when she's old enough to feed herself. The only thing that I dont like is that it doesnt have any product reviews. I think it must be a new high chair. We might be in a new house by the time she is old enough for a booster seat, and if so, we'll probably have an actual dining table and chairs.

No advice as I had a regular huge one, though I do have the space saver one that straps to a chair and LOVED that!! That first one is pretty cool.

I haven't had experience with the ones you showed, or the chair-attach model either. I've had one similar to this: http://www.target.com/p/Baby-Trend-High-Chair-Columbia/-/A-13248527#?lnk=sc_qi_detaillink It folded up, so it could easily be stored in a closet, and the one I had included an additional snap-on tray, in case you wanted to remove one to wash it & still use the base tray. (hope that makes sense) I LOVED it. This time around, we have one similar, but not as snazzy. It's just important to me that it folds up. We also need to get a bigger dining table because the one we have now only seats 4.

Ugh I need a bigger one too but I've been holding off looking for a bigger one until we know when we're going to move. For now we can just use to computer chair lol.

HAHA! We've been using a dining chair as a computer chair lately. 1/3 of the household stuff is in storage, until we figure out when we're moving - it could be in 3 months, and it could be over a year from now.. Beee

I have a Graco like this one. It's a bit more expensive, but we JUST stopped using it for my 3yo. He sat in it so contentedly. I'm almost tempted to put him back in it because I can't stand how movey he is in a regular chair Blum 3

Easy clean up, still looks great and very, very durable.
