We will be home at Christmas this year, but that just worked out well since we alternate every year.

Time to make them all come to you!

I'll be traveling for Thanksgiving this year, but only driving an hour for Christmas. This year it's Turkey day with my family and Christmas with the IL's.

Nope. We are not traveling (more than an hour to my dad's) for the holidays this year. Slightly OT, but this is our first holiday season without my mom, so none of us are going to our in-laws'. It'll be nice to keep it quiet and low-key - no pressure to get anywhere!

Oh no! Thanks stinks!! Maybe they can come to you instead? I live in GA and have family that lives in VA and we *MIGHT* be traveling there some time around Christmas, IF I can talk DH into making the 6 hour drive with a 3 year old, 22month old and a preggo! LOL I think my chances are good that we'll be staying home! ROFL

Ahh, gotcha..........is he one you could talk in to meeting you half way? Or will he be a pain just because he can?

If its truly a risk for you to travel, your doctors orders will trump the custody agreement.

That sucks!! We have no major travel plans, we are lucky to have all of our family within 1.5 hrs driving.

We plan on driving to visit relatives to save on plane tickets. Plane tickets now are about $2000 there and back for all of us. Actually I think it's closer to $3000. I can make the drive in 24-30 hours there. Plus it's way cheaper because last time I did that I spent not even $500 and that included a hotel room.

We haven't fully decided if we're going or not but I know my family wants us to come down, esp since I'll be like 6 months then!

Bummer.

We will be driving 8 hours there and then again back during Christmas. I live on the edge though and we have traveled to see family that far away within a few weeks of delivering.

Bummer you already won't be able to travel so soon! Sad I'd be in a pickle if that were me-- we travel A LOT. I'm flying up to MD to spend Thanksgiving w/my parents, but we'll be home for Christmas this year. I remember from my last pregnancy that my OB told me I could fly domestically up to 36 weeks and internationally up to 34.

Since I now how a stepson, we'll be driving about 500 miles to pick him up (or just DH, if the Dr. says I'm at risk), and his mother will be picking him up here. I flew when 5 months pregnant with my second and I had my then-15 month old with me, by myself on the plane. THAT was an adventure!

Yea we travel alot too. We have to take my daughter back to her dad every 3 weeks, the guardian ad litem says that pregnancy isn't an excuse and won't accept my Dr's note... So we have no clue what we are going to due once I am 24 weeks.. It will be right before Christmas too.
