I have been put on modified bedrest. I had to go to the Dr today because I was spotting and have had a ton of cramps and my lower back is hurting along with what I thought was braxton hicks.. Well turns out my cervix is showing change and they sent me for a transvaginal ultrasound. This was totally not the information I wanted to hear today.
Oh no! I hope things start looking up soon and that you're not stuck on bedrest too long.
(hugs) feel better!

I know it is super-duper scary, and I'm sorry you are going through this.
If it is any consolation, I had a similar situation with DS and didn't go into labor until 42 weeks! At around 23 weeks I had a ton of regular BH, achy back, and cervical mucus. The u/s showed that my cervix was "funneling". Meaning it was starting to dilate from the inside. My doctor even talked briefly about a cerclage (stitch that holds the cervix closed). Luckily, this had no effect on how long I carred DS since I went to 42 weeks.
I hope you don't have any further complications!!

*lurker from June* while it may not happen to everyone...incompetent cervix is serious business. Listen closely to your docs...Im so happy that if that is what it is...they were able to catch it. So often...they do not diagnose that problem until its too late. Oh..and if it gets worse...and they decide to place a cerclage...they usually work pretty well. I know because I have an incomptent cervix and with the help of my cerclages have been able to carry 8 babies to full term...Im scheduled for my 9th one on Dec 16 GL!
