LO's Halloween Costumes

Since the majority of us already have at least one child, I'm just curious if you've come up with their Halloween costumes yet. I just picked up Piper's today, and she's going to be a little pirate! This is a perfect fit for her, because she's mildly obsessed with pirates and constantly says things like "shiver me timbers," "aaargh!," and "aww, coconuts!" (That last one is thanks to Jake and the Neverland Pirates, one of her favorite shows). We tried the costume on as soon as I brought it home and she looks SO. FREAKIN'. CUTE. I can't even stand it. And she loves it, so double yay! Here's the costume I got her: http://www.buycostumes.com/High-Seas-Buccaneer-Girl-Toddler-Costume/18986/ProductDetail.aspx

I know there's still a month to go, but has anyone else figured their kids' costumes out yet?

I LOVE it! I think it's a great costume! I looked at some today for DD, but didn't buy one. DH thinks it's silly to buy her a costume, but she'll just be one and I think it would be SO cute! I just have no idea what she would be!

Whatever we go with, I am probably making their costumes. I'm pretty sure Katelyn wants to be Rapunzel (she has the super long blonde hair already), and no idea what Addison wants to be, but I'm sure it will be some type of princess. I have *kind of* decent sewing skills and a machine, so we'll see what I can whip out!

I soo wanted Piper to be Rapunzel (she has a major Tangled obsession) but I figured the super long hair is sort of a key element to that costume and there is no way in the world she'll wear a wig for longer than a few minutes. She doesn't even have enough real hair to make a ponytail, let alone pull off a Rapunzel look! Smile Maybe next year...

I did costumes for both my girls when they were a year old. My older one was a giraffe. She even picked that costume out herself! She was so cute! And my other was a fairy last year and she was adorable! I guess the men just aren't as excited as us ha ha.

But this year my younger one is going to be an angel. I have a costume from my older one when she was 2 that she never wore (she went through a bad stage of not wanting to wear anything unless it was soft material and no dresses!) so that cost nothing ha ha. And I asked my older one several times what she wanted to be and she said a ghost. Finally today she told me why. She said because a ghost is what Halloween really is. Ha ha.

My husband is going to wear the shirt he wore last year that says something about a ninja costume ha. And I'm going to make one pretty much announcing my pregnancy. Although I will be almost 17-18 weeks by then (omg really?!!!?!??!?!), but I'll put pics up on FB later so everyone can know ha ha.

We are still trying to decide what to be. I figure this is the last year I'll be able to choose for my kids and dress them "together". I've narrowed it down to...

Angel and Devil
Cowgirl and Cowboy
Superman and Wonder Woman
Wicked Witch and Flying Monkey

I have no idea which one we'll do. I need to get a move on though because I'll either have to buy in store or order, and if I need to order I need to do it soon.

Love that pirate costume! We did pirates back in 2008 Smile

We always do a family theme and I usually make all the costumes but this year I just don't have the time to make all 4. Of course the girls want to do a Superhero theme this year.

My 6 year old wants to be the pink power ranger and wants this costume Pink power ranger

and my 4 year old wants to be a pink Supergirl and picked this costume

My husband is going as Thor -- and I am at a complete loss as to what superhero to be! They all wear some sort of tight spandex outfit and with the preggo belly and extra weight I am just mortified! LOL Anyone have any suggestions???

I can't wait for Halloween, it's my favorite holiday!

Aww, Michelle. Wish I had an idea, but I'm sure you'll come up with something Smile

DD is going to be a princess...she is OBSESSED with the disney princesses. We've got a ton of dress-up stuff from our neighbor so she'll have her choice of princess dress this year.

No kids for me yet unless you count this baby bump but I just helped my SIL pick a costume for her LO... he's 6 mo and is gonna be a pumpkin. SO freakin' cute especially cause he's a little chubby (in the cutest possible way!) so is already pretty round haha!

Michelle & Amanda - I know!! so cute, right? and fun to do I bet. To bad I still don't have a bump, I will have to push it out and eat a lot so I can wear it at Disney

Lucy_sam - that's going to be one cute lil pumpkin. My boy went as pumpkin when he was 8 months old. Sooooo sooo cute!
