m/w today

Just got back from my m/w appt. Nothing overly exciting, they read the u/s report basically what I knew before.....abdominal circumference measuring slightly ahead but within normal.
One thing I was surprised was that I don't have to do the GD test. She said my only risk factor was that I'm over 25 so while I can do it I wasn't in the category where she'd recommend.

Start going every two weeks now and I have all my appts booked through to the end (getting hard to get the good appt times haha)

Nice that everything was within normal range! Glad you don't have to do any GD testing and YAY for an overall great appointment!

Wow you already have all your appts booked? LUCKY! Or did I read that wrong? That's awesome though.

Glad your u/s came out normal. That's always a plus.

Can't believe we're all in the home stretch!!!

That's awesome that everything is normal!! Yay! They always book my next appointment at my current appointment, nothing more. It would be nice to have them all booked in advance.

nope you read that right Smile All booked until April 24th
thank goodness they let me b/c I had to skip last week when they tried to book me in the middle of the day (it's not near work so I'd need to take the whole day off). Even today's and the one is 2 weeks aren't at the best time but at least I can just leave an hr early vs using a vacation day.

oh and I forgot the other good news.....baby's face it perfect so no cleft (like dh)

Yay for a great appt.! Score on them not making you do the GD test. I'm glad all the u/s results looked good.

My Dr.'s office only books my next appt, not all of them. It would be cool to have them book them all, something to countdown till, of course, mine are always on Thursday's in the morning, so I guess I kinda always know when mine are.

My DH was born with a cleft lip, they dont know what caused it. If you dont mind me asking, do you know what caused your DH's cleft?

honestly don't know, I think there are a couple in his family but I don't think it's really known what causes it. Having cleft only raises the chances by something like 1-2% if it's in the family so I wasn't overly worried (although dh gets concerned b/c of everything he went through...even though times have changed). They just wanted to take another look while checking something else b/c apparently they need different equipment should something go wrong at delivery and they need to resus.

dh had full cleft lip/palate

did they check at your u/s or not really bother? I wouldn't have cared if they looked again b/c risk is so low but nice to know

My DH's was just the lip, but it did require major surgery at a couple months of age, so I understand about your DH wanting to make sure your LO doesnt have to go through something traumatic.

My Dr. knows about it, but he never checked. Do they have to do a 3D/4D for that? I havent had one of those done, I'm not sure if my clinic provides those.

that's good.
dh had surgeries up until he was a teen. A friend on my ds bb had full too, from talking to her and comparing no surprise but it's really not as big of a deal these days.

Just reg u/s and look at the face. They can't see inside the mouth so they just look to see if the lip is formed
