Maternity clothes!!!

Well I am fully into maternity clothes and have been for about a week (9.5wks). Which is a little longer then with DD (8 wks). I just could not stand the tightness of my regular clothes.

Anyone else with me? If not how have you been able to avoid them?

I'm there and only 7.5 weeks Blum 3 I agree that I just couldn't stand the tightness. My regular jeans are fine when I'm standing but not so comfy to sit in. Only thing is, my mat jeans are just a tad too big still. It was around this time with DS that I started wearing my maternity stuff too. I guess since it hasn't even been a year since I had DS, my body remembers the shape it's supposed to go to LOL!

ETA: Looks like it hasn't been long since your last LO either Wink

Not there yet, thankfully. But, my jeans are getting a little snug. Everything else seems pretty OK.

Um, yeah.....my regular jeans already don't fit anymore, despite the fact that I have not gained any weight! Jeans are the only thing I am really wearing that is maternity right now. Everything else still fits in my regular stuff, I just have to use my belly band to keep my maternity jeans up and cover the panel so no one can see it since I am still wearing regular tops.

I'm 11 weeks 2 days today and I've been in maternity clothes since between 5 and 6 weeks. Gah! Although I think a lot of it may have been bloating. My jeans just felt too tight and it was uncomfortable so I either wore elastic waistband pants or maternity ones. Shirt wise, I only recently began wearing a few tops.

Although I know my hips have already gotten a little bigger because my pants I wore before my 2nd were way too big after I had her (weird huh? I went DOWN in pant sizes after having my kids) and now they fit nice. I guess that's the plus side of keeping clothes that I couldn't wear before.

I have not yet had to move into maternity wear (thankfully). But I think the only reason is because all my jeans and pants were too big right before BFP. I had lost a lot of weight last spring and over the summer so my work clothes didn't fit to start...now they do fit me but still aren't snug. Thankfully I still haven't gained any weight...I even lost a pound!

Oh yeah, it's maternity clothes-ville for me too. No need for maternity tops, but definitely bottoms. Even my athletic shorts with elastic waistbands are uncomfortable-- I have to wear them way down low on my waist so they're not sitting on my belly. I need to go shopping very soon!!

I am not yet in them... but will be getting some soon. Sad I had just recently lost 30 lbs so my pants were loose before my BFP.

I was totally in them by this point with DS2 but this time (knock on wood) I seem to be still fitting my reg. clothes perfectly. I'm actually really really shocked cause I thought for sure my body would be showing my secret long before I was ready to tell and because my LO is still only 10 months. I'm still down below my last pre-preg. weight but have put on 6lbs already so I don't know what gives.

I am definitely not able to wear most of my jeans anymore, just because of how uncomfortable they are. I had also lost some weight, and hadn't gotten rid of the pants 1-2 sizes up yet, so I can wear them even though I look like a clown because of the extra room in the thighs. Also, I am OK with more tops that show my figure, because looking pregnant isn't such a bad thing, now that I actually am pregnant.. HAHA!

No maternity here yet either - but I'm definitely rocking the rubber band trick on my jeans and belly bands when that won't work. I need some maternity yoga pants. I have gained 5+ lbs already (... I've been craving cheeseburgers) and I can definitely tell. Sigh!

yuppers...Having anything touch my belly that is the slightest bit tight is very uncomfortable.

I caved! This morning when the belly band wouldn't really hold up my jeans well, I knew it was time. I wanted to hold out until 13 weeks, but ... at least I'll be more comfortable!

No maternity clothes for me quite yet. I am hoping I can hold out until mid October. (Yikes, what are the chances of that happening when this is baby #2?) Biggrin

I have to defend at an administrative trial and really need to still fit into my work suit and blazer.

I just *pray* I don't have to buy an expensive maternity suit so that I can wear it in front of a judge twice in 9 months!!!

I don't know how you feel about resale stores, but I know a maternity/children's resale store that I love has a section for clothes like these, because you know there were other professional mamas out there that had the same problem. If you don't mind used, it is TOTALLY worth the effort in my opinion.

You gotta love resale! I do shop resale because work clothes are ridiculously overpriced new. My favorite suit and blazer is an ann taylor suit that I found at a garage sale for $7 total. Bargain.

Unfortunately, you never know if you are going to find your size. Always worth a look when you have the time though!

I had an awesome find on clearance at K-mart...got a blazer and black dress pants for less than $5 each. It's not the greatest looking suit...but it works for my purposes Smile

Just a thought.
