No surprise there!

I have GD again. Well, I just failed the 1 hour. Hoping to talk my doc in letting me skip the 3 hour and go right into monitoring.

If that wasn't enough, I'm also anemic. Boo hiss. But at least it explains my crazy tiredness lately. Not looking forward to the worsening constipation from stupid iron pills. lol

Yuck! That stinks. Do you do meds or just monitor and control it with diet? But hey, maybe you'll pass the 3 hour if you take it. . . ?

I had it with my first. It was diet controlled.

I really don't want to go through the 3 hour when I can just monitor. My fasting numbers are always crazy good, I have problems with the 1 hour and I always just barely fail the 2 hour.

Waiting for the nurse to call back with the verdict.

Ugh I remember the iron pills from DD1! I hated how stopped up they made me! Luckily with DD2 I didn't need them and I'm really hoping to not need them this time around, esp since the laxative stuff they gave me if I do get overly constipated makes my stomach hurt like crazy!

I take my test next week and I'm hoping I pass. Sorry you failed your test and hopefully your dr will let you skip the 3 hour one so you don't have to waste your time with it.

That sucks, I hope you can go to just monitoring. I get my results on Thursday, but I am guessing I will fail. I have with both of my other 2, I passed the 2 hr test with DS and failed with DD. I am the opposite of you though, my fasting sucks and I just slightly fail the 1 hr and pass the 2 hr.

Oh boo! So annoying. I failed my 1 hour last week and have my 3 hour tomorrow. Hopefully I'll pass. I also failed the 1 hour with my daughter (but passed the 3 hour). What a pain!

Thanks ladies. I'm not too worried about it in the scheme of things. I could do to watching what I'm eating a little better regardless Wink The poking won't be fun, but for 12 weeks? totally doable!

Beee Glad to hear that you're taking the news of GD well! The idea of that risk kind of makes me nervous. If, for any reason, I end up testing positive, I'll know who to ask anything... Smile

I freaked out with my first. It was definitely something I worried about constantly. Not that I don't worry now, but having been through it before makes it less daunting. If that makes sense. I know there are real risks, but I have such a better piece of mind knowing it's being monitored than not. KWIM? Biggrin

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you all pass!

This makes complete sense to me. I had GD with my first and was so shocked when I found I had it. I'm assuming I'll get it this time too, but I'll be prepared, and know I can deal with it. I test next week.

Sorry you got it though, it's not fun :(. Were you able to control it through diet and exercise last time? Or did you go on insulin? I was ok for about 1 month, but then needed insulin in the mornings for the remaining 2 months.

I was diet controlled the entire time. My problem has never been a fasting issue, but the 1 hour after. Doc always had me test 2 hours after starting a meal and wasn't concerned otherwise.

It really helped me control my weight gain too. Which, starting out heavier, was a god send in the end. I'm already up more than I was with my first. bummers!
