How long were you TTC before you got your BFP with this pregnancy?

My husband got back from deployment around June 19th or 20th and I got my period June 26th. After that is was success! If he had gotten back when they originally planned I probably would've definitely had a March date. I get pregnant pretty easily (haha DD2 is a result of precum...no joke!!!)

Almost 2 years. Which was weird, since our first was literally a home run on the first try. We only DTD one time that month and it worked. lol

We weren't really trying. I was keeping track of my cycles and we were avoiding DTD around ovulation. This was the 6th cycle of doing that, and we DTD a little too close in July! Wink DS1 was Birth Control failure (and that BC actually got recalled a few months later!!) and DS2 was planned, and first try!

It took 12 cycles with this one, which seemed like an eternity since my other 4 pregnancies (including the m/c) were all first try!

I had my IUD removed in June, had a normal cycle, and got knocked up the first month of trying.

We were JLIH since DD was born. My cycles were still way wacky and we had just decided to actively TTC once my next AF arrived. She never did. Biggrin It was the most awesome of miracles since DH was just about to start a new job where he'd be gone 20 days per month. DD took 2.5 years to conceive, so this was definitely a welcome change!

We were planning on TTC this month when DS2 turned 1...lol. We just got a head start. I was using an OPK to help track my cycles as they had just returned and we were avoiding during O time.

Sounds horrible to say, but this is a "whoops" lol. Not to say I'm not excited, and all the good baby stuff... but I had JUST gotten engaged the previous week, and my (now) DH wasn't going to move from Idaho to Oregon until next Spring, when we planned to get married. Well... this bumped everything WAY up, and we got married 8/19. He's moving here at the end of next week. We have a running joke that he could throw a balloon full of sperm at me, and I would find a way to get pregnant with it. I am fertile, that's for sure!

Also first try. DD was a major oops, so first "try" there as well. Fertile myrtle over here, I guess!

Wow, most of you are extremely fertile. I'm more of the average story. 4th month of trying here.

6 months of trying, and we were just about to give up. We stopped thinking about trying to make a baby and just had sex for fun, and it happened!

I might be the odd man out. It took exactly 5 years (of unexplained IF) from going off BCP to getting my BFP. Triplets is insane but if we had been able to get pregnant easily, we'd be on our 3rd by now anyway so we're feeling extremely blessed. The last 5 years were tough but we also have traveled the world and pursued dreams and furthered education so we believe it was all part off the plan- and now here we are getting our house full of babies too!

We got our BFP on our 2 nd cycle of JLIH. But the first cycle DH was extremely busy at work so we did not have much time to DTD, so it was really the first cycle we had a chance.

Same here. I figured I'd get a BFP immediately, was not prepared for how long it took this time around. Plus, had a m/c (very early loss) back in March.

(we also used metformin to help my cycles but i stopped them in July when they werent helping since i havent had AF since April) stupid PCOS

Doesn't sound bad at all........i have 1 "whoops" myself. DS2 was a total accident, as DS1 was only 8 months when I got pregnant. I would have preferred a little more than 16 1/2 months between the two!! DS1 was conceived on a TTC break b/c I was planning to go out of the country for 2 weeks on a mission trip so we decided to stop trying until after I got back. I had already gotten my passport and everything and plane tickets were being bought the week I found out I was pregnant! So, this baby is the only one we've actually been actively "trying" for at the time! LOL

We started trying for a second when our daughter turned 2, and she will turn 5 the month after this little one is born. But with a bunch of military training in different provinces and two miscarriages, it didn't seem like that long. Just glad that we are finally on the road to our second biological child!!

Haha, we threw caution to the wind for one month.

DH had been wanting one more kid for a long time and I was reluctant. I thought we could try on our anniversary...just to appease him. Darn!
