RLP?

For the past few weeks I've had horrible pains in my right side if I move into a certain position (usually happens when I'm trying to sleep). It's so painful that it stops me in my tracks and I try to rub it to relieve it and it'll feel like a giant knot. At least I think this is RLP. I could be wrong.

Is anyone else having stuff like this?

If you are feeling a lump it could be a hernia, depending on the exact location. I know hernias are common in pregnancy and usually don't require treatment after pregnancy, though it depends on the severity of them. I've been getting some random sharp pains here and there, but it's not isolated to a specific spot.

I get them every pregnancy... especially in the first tri, then again at the very end, when the uterus is going on overload mode. It makes it REALLY hard/painful to roll over in bed, or to sit up from laying down position. I find myself holding my belly where I know it's going to hurt, any time I'm moving that way. I'd for sure be asking the OB about a hernia just in case, like Anna said. I've never actually felt a real bump (could be because I have some extra squishy belly at the bottom from previous c-sections).

I never even thought of a hernia. It's in my right side on the underside of my belly (well now since I dropped). It only gets hard/knotty feeling when it's hurting, but when it doesn't hurt, like now, its squishy. I'll have to try and ask the OB at my next appt this week.

When you push on it, does it make you pass gas, or is it related to your GI tract at all? Just wondering...that was my experience with hernias...

no it's just a really tight feeling knot and when I try to rub it out it hurts really bad, but I figure if I can get it to relax some it'll feel better. It doesn't really feel better, but I figure it's always worth a try.

It's on the underside of my belly and if you lined it up with a body part it would be with my inner thigh. Does that make sense?
