Spotting **U/S Update OP**

Has anybody else had any?

I've cramped off and on for about 2 weeks, but no spotting. Then, last night I got up to use the bathroom, and (tmi) it was brownish, creamy cm, with maybe just a touch of pink. Not a whole lot, but enough that I wiped twice. This morning, hardly anything there.

I can't help but worry even though I know it can be perfectly normal. I'm not having ANY cramping at all right now.

What do you think? Any similar stories?

So nothing else all day yesterday until right before bedtime and I got some dark brown discharge. I was having a slight lower backache so decided to go into my primary care doc today to make sure it wasn't a UTI. I also hadn't had the pregnancy confirmed yet with them (my first OB appointment is 9/28 ). I've had just slightly tan cm since. So I go in, they confirm the pregnancy, and drew HCG counts. I go back Thursday for the next blood draw and should have results by Friday. Also, I have an u/s scheduled for this afternoon. I wasn't really wanting an early u/s, but I admit that I am still a little freaked out. So hopefully everything is fine, and then I will also have a more accurate EDD. Wish me luck!

Sooooo... u/s said 6 weeks 5 days!! Which is a little less along than I thought but I always have longer than average cycles, so it's not a huge surprise. I figured I was about 7 and 1. Official EDD is April 26th... and... heartrate was 136 Biggrin The tech said that was perfect. I could see the little flicker of the heart right away, and it made me feel so relieved. Thanks for the thoughts everyone!! I've still been have a slight tan-ish discharge all day, but I guess I shouldn't be worried. He also said my cervix was long and completely closed. I know seeing the heartbeat drastically lowers the chance of m/c so I feel much much better!

I had the same with DS at around 16 wks. Your right it quite normal especially if it was brownish. But we still worry. I have not spotted this time at all but I still get nervous every time I wipe.

I haven't experienced this at all. Most likely nothing to worry about but wouldn't hurt to bring up to your OB when you see him/her.

:lurk: from May...

This happened to me Thursday night. Same exact thing, brown, wiped, saw creamy cm with tan/pink. After that, NOTHING.

DH & I have read that it's completely normal, but after no spotting with my last pregnancy it freaked me out!

No, we haven't DTD since I got my bfp. I'm scared too, and I also feel bad for DH. Maybe when we are closer to being out of the first tri I will feel more comfortable lol.

Cramps always scare me.

I had a m/c in April and had no symptoms except dark brown spotting every time I wiped. When I lost my pregnancy symptoms is when I knew I lost the baby. I ended up bleeding dark red blood on a Sat night (I began spotting on a Thurs) and then the next morning lost the baby. It was real hard (my husband was also deployed at the time so it sucked even worse).

This time around, I have had some cramps (they have said that could be due to constipation). Over the weekend I had real bad cramping as to where I woke up almost crying, but these cramps went all through my body. My husband helped me into the tub to try and loosen my muscles. We were out of town for the weekend too, but we decided it must be partly dehydration. That was the only night with real bad cramps. Before that I went to the ER for spotting but checked out fine. I never had spotting with my two kids and when I spotted I freaked, even though I've heard it's normal (plus I had a friend who spotted through her first trimester from stress).

I've gotten to the point where I have to calm myself down when I begin to get small cramps, and I can actually tell when (sorry, TMI) I'm about to have a bowl movement because of it. Ha ha.

Kate, I spotted with my first, but it was much earlier, like right around when I would've missed my period. So I guess I didn't worry b/c I just knew it was implantation. And then I had a m/c in between DD and DS. But it was immediate like right around the time I would've had my period too. It started with like a brownish, medium flow. And then within the day turned red. Then I never spotted at all until just before labor with DS.

First tri is so scary at times!!!

Glad you got to see the heartbeat & get an official due date! Also, I'm glad you got some reassurance about the spotting.

Me too!! It's so weird, I am STILL spotting! No cramping at the same time though so I guess I shouldn't worry.
