A TMI thread...

Okay so for the past few weeks I've been having a lot of bowel movements. They usually happen at the same time every day. And (really TMI) it's A LOT that comes out.

Well after I had a BM today I got really bad cramps (maybe contractions?) as to where I had to hold onto DH and bend over in pain to breath through them. It was probably 4 that happened in all. They did stop but they were pretty painful.

The only thing I can think of that may be setting this off is stress ha. I've been busy packing and stressing getting everything moved in one day (we get the keys at 3:30 PM Wed the 29th and have to be out by 11 AM Friday the 2nd).

Is this anything I should be concerned about? In 3 weeks I'm considered full term, so I wanna make sure I don't put myself in labor! DH has been packing the kitchen and his stuff and will be fixing the walls where we had screws screwed in just to be sure we're not charged for that (and the small dent from the corner of a bookshelf that hit the wall when we moved in). But then again he isn't too worried about not being ready to move lol. I, on the other hand, am freaking out about getting everything ready!

Honestly, I think you probably are doing a lot more than your body wants to handle!!! Are you doing a lot of bending over? I know that yesterday I had a lot more BH contractions than because of being on the floor with kids at the church nursery. I think we're probably getting to that point in the pregnancy that our bodies need a little bit of moderate exercise or activity accompanied by a lot of rest. I know that your DH works and your girls aren't really old enough to help you pack a lot, and I know that you dont have a lot of time left to pack, but I would definitely try resting more often while packing. Maybe you can have your husband get stuff down from cabinets or closets and set them up with boxes and then all you have to do is sit comfortably somewhere and pack them up.

That's just my two cents of course, and unfortunately, I've never been pregnant before, so I can't tell you if the BM's and possible contractions are serious enough to get checked out. I hope that you can find a way not to overwork yourself!

Yeah I've been making DH get the things up high for me (such as the laundry room...the shelves were my things but I told him I needed him to pack them so I didn't have to climb up on the washer to do it lol.)

I do take breaks every so often, but maybe you're right. Maybe it is the bending and everything that my body isn't use to me going into this sort of overdrive mode. When both my girls I worked so my body was use to all the moving around, whereas this time around I'm a SAHM and don't do near as much running around as I did at work.

Especially considering this is baby #3 for me too, and from what others have told me, the body just looooooves to go into preparation mode for weeks/months ahead of time. I have also been noticing that I can't bend over or exert myself much, or I feel a lot of pressure on the cervix and honestly *everywhere the sun don't shine* haha. It is quite different from my first two children, where I didn't feel the painful BH or other symptoms. I would also vote to give yourself a time limit, for how much you do at a time, and force yourself to rest for a certain period of time also. Smile
