My daughter was a very brave big sister and got both of her kindergarten vaccinations without a peep. I was super impressed, but she wanted to show Heidi how to do it!
So then it was Heidi's turn, and the nurse started squirting the rotavirus vaccine in her mouth, and Heidi spat it out and hit me full force in the face and eyes!! Of course this is 2 minutes after telling me to make sure I wash my hands really well after diaper changes for 10 days. Wonderful... hopefully because it is an oral virus, it won't be in my digestive tract and so shouldn't make me sick, but it made vaccinations exciting!! The nurse said she had never had a baby do that, and even called poison control to see what they thought.
The two in her legs went smoothly and then we got to leave right away because after trying to figure out what to do with my eyes, it had been long enough.
Thankfully that is the last oral vaccine for her!

Desmond actually drank the entire oral one lol. The dr was impressed with that!
But wow I can't believe she managed to hit you in the face like that! Lol. She must really not have liked it!
Hope she's feeling okay after shots. I know that they can feel blah the next day. also glad that even though it got in your eyes and everything you're fine!
awww poor Heidiglad you don't have to worry about anything though

Phew.. glad to have this day over... grumpy Heidi!!! She was just soo fussy, today which is so different than normal. She is usually such a super happy baby, that a day like today seems even longer! Looked around online and it appears that you can't get rotavirus through the eye, only by mouth ... so I think I'm good! And yes, she really really doesn't like any tastes other than breastmilk, (spits out tylenol, vitamin D) so starting solids could be interesting!!
