    Question Vision Changes???

I have worn glasses/contacts since I was in the 4th grade. For the past 6 years my eyes haven't changed, they've been the same stregnth. However, the past week I've noticed that things are more blurry and I feel like I"m straining my eyes more. Could it be preggo related? I've never had vision problems while pregnant before but I THOUGHT I remember hearing that it can cause vision changes. OR maybe I"m just so tired that my eyes can't focus, I don't know but I really don't want to have to spend money going back to the eye doc!

I totally understand not wanting to go to the eye doctor just for eye changes during pregnancy; I'm dreading this happening to me. I have read that pregnancy can cause vision changes though. Sorry!

I actually had this happen a few weeks ago. I don't wear contacts or glasses or anything and one day I had a huge headache and my vision was blurred. It cleared up by the next day or two, but it drove me crazy.

I have read that it can be pregnancy related. Could you call your OB and ask them what they think?

I hope it clears up soon!

My eye doctor told me that pregnancy and nursing can totally cause vision changes. I didn't know this until I was preg. with DS2 and was asking about Lasik. Apparently they won't do that to preg. or nursing mothers because of changes in vision during those times. He told me to only buy 1/2 a year supply of my contacts at a time just incase a vision change occured. Crazy, right?!?!

I've had vision changes with each of my pregnancies. My eyes have been getting steadily worse.

My uncle's an opthamologist and says it's caused by the changes in fluid retention...
