Want to Help Me Shop?

I've got to make up my mind. My co-workers are throwing me a baby shower next week! I didn't think I was going to get one at all, so I haven't really thought of gifts for people to get me. They wanted to get me a double stroller, but DD doesn't ride in a stroller any more (hasn't for well over 1.5 years). So, they've been trying to come up with an alternative 'big gift' idea. I have all the other big stuff, but one co-worker asked about bedding. Well, no, I haven't even THOUGHT about a nursery yet. So on the hunt I've been!

There just aren't as many cute boy themes as there are girl themes Sad

Any how, I've narrowed it down to two.

If you have a moment, take a look and ring in your opinion. I am so on the fence, I honestly can't make a decision.

1) Blue/Brown Swirl
Bedding1

2) Brown/Blue/Green Geometric Pattern
Bedding2

What does DD have in her room? What color are the walls in baby's room?

Oh that IS a tough choice! I would probably end up going with the green/geometrical, just because I like how the colors are placed, and the stripes on the window valance. They are both REALLY nice though!

Well, we're moving to our new house April 13th and we can really paint what ever color we want to (for baby's room). DD has a bright pink/green/yellow theme on her bedding but we're going to paint the walls a very light pink (her choice!). So, I'm really free to decorate Tyler's room however I please because it's just a blank slate. Right now I think the walls at the new house are tan. Going by there today for inspections, so I'll get to double check then!

I like the blue, but I'm biased because it's my favorite color Biggrin

I like the first one better. I just like how the brown and blue colors go together though better than adding in a 3rd color.

And I agree, they don't have as many cute boy bedding. I was sorta lucky because with DD1 I just got gender neutral ones, which was a duck set that I've used for all the kids.

Yay on getting a baby shower too!

Ooh, I LOVE the first one, the blue/brown combo! That's one of my fave combos for anything. Actually, if you don't mind, do you have a link to that one, lol? Smile

How exciting that you'll be moving soon. Huge changes all at once! Don't fatigue yourself! Hope the inspections go well.

I like the blue!! I also think it will be easier to keep it crisp and clean looking over time because of the patterns and darker colors if that makes sense. You lucky mama!!

I asked DH just to get a man's opinion...his first reaction "They're the same" LOL! Men...

But he said, after comparing the two and me pointing that they're different, he said he liked the top one because it's "more boyish"

So in case you wanted a male opinion...lol. What does your DH think?

I like the first one, blue/brown swirls, the best.
We had such a hard time finding boy bedding too when DS1 was coming. I just ended up going with a green and white neutral one back then cause I was frustrated at the lack of good choices. I'd have loved to have either one of those.
