drinking?? Wink I've been pregnant or nursing (or both! lol) since August 2009 - apart from an occasional glass of wine or a beer every now and then it's been pretty dry! What I wouldn't do for a nice glass of bailey's on ice right about now!

This!!! I also miss being able to drink as much coffee as my heart desires. I allow myself one cup of half caf and that's about it. I don't so much miss alcohol because ever since I got preggo with DS in 2008 I really haven't even wanted to touch the stuff. It makes me sick just thinking about it.

Right now it's being able to breath! LO enjoys pushing up into my ribs (or shoving all my organs there ha ha) so I'm having a hard time breathing!

Oh and being able to sleep comfortably. I've had to sleep with a pillow under my tummy since about 12 weeks and it's hard to get in a position where I can instantly fall asleep.

Ah also I can't bend at the tummy anymore lol. So I'm having to squat all funny looking if I'm picking stuff up lol.

I miss energy. I have had absolutely NO energy this whole pregnancy. I get tired and breathless so quickly whenever I start doing anything. It's pathetic.

I still sleep the same, half side/half tummy and I really have had minimal sleep interruption. I do occasionally crave a glass of wine, but alcohol is definitely not a necessity for me, so I'm okay without it. Easter Egg is just now starting to compress my lungs so breathing is okay unless I start doing a lot of physical stuff that involves bending.

I'm sure there are other things I miss, but as I sit on the couch yawning, it's energy that I miss!

I miss energy, restful sleep, the list goes on.... and I'm pretty sure that I've started having the front pubic pain already, so that's fun.

OH! I thought I'd also add what my husband would say if he got to see this question. DH misses my sex drive lol. He wants it every day but I'm only in the mood every few days. Ha ha. Doesn't stop him from trying!

I miss a lot, honestly. I miss drinking, I miss sleeping on my stomach, I miss being comfortable, and I really, really miss having control over my own body. You know? I can't wait to have the baby, and I'm excited to BE pregnant, but I am not really enjoying BEING pregnant.

I definitely miss being able to sleep on my tummy, and now its getting to the point where I cant really sleep on my left side either because it feels like theres a lump in my side, so I guess just getting comfortable in bed in general. I also miss being able to bend forward instead of having to squat. And of course, I miss my caffeine!

I miss enjoying food!! I am always hungry and I am so tired of eating that nothing seems to be yummy... it is just cause I have to. Looking forward to my tastebuds returning to normal and food being a joy again!
(And my partner would definitely have the same complaint as one of the people above... I am so tired by the end of the day I am just not interested!!)

I miss the occasional glass of wine and I really miss raw sushi. Other than that, not much. Oh, except sex. I don't want it, like... ever, but I miss wanting it. And I feel pretty bad for my husband.

I miss not vomiting or having to choose what I eat carefully so I won't get heartburn. Also miss an occasional drink!

LOL, I'm also missing drinking! I was never a heavy drinker, but I'd have a margarita maybe once a month. It seems like there are so many drink specials now that I'm pregnant!!!

I am also missing sleeping comfortably...and bending over to pick things up!

ETA: and I'm a bad preggo because I have kept up with the caffiene this time. Sorry baby, I am NOT going to give up my Diet Dr. Pepper again!

Yep this is so me. My husband and myself drink maybe 1-2 times a year and I would love to have a big old mixed drink right now I think it is more because I can't have it then because I really want it LoL

I miss bending down comfortably and going to the gym to workout and not getting heavily out of breath! I might also add I miss staying up past 8. It seems when we get DD ready for bed and we lay down to cuddle, I end up falling asleep.

Kristin, don't feel bad. I haven't given up (totally) on caffiene this time either. I just can't do it.

I miss the occasional drink, sleeping on my stomach, my regular clothes and my back not hurting.

I miss having a drink having a drink once in awhile, comfort tummy sleep, feeling normal. I just do not feel like myself when pregnant. I look forward to having a baby but not the whole pregnancy process.

Wine...Mazza Country Red to be specific. It is a local wine and I LOVE it.

I don't miss a ton of stuff but I would say having a drink now and then. I've been preg. &/or nursing for 22 months so I've had less drinks than I can count on 1 hand in that time period. Also I miss real bras. Had to ditch my favorits about mid pregnancy last time for some softer ones and have been living in nursing tanks for the past 13 months.

Other than those 2 things I don't really change anything and love being preg.!

Don't feel bad, I'm a bad preggo too. I have my morning coffee still. BUT I've limited it to 1 K-Cup of coffe mixed with 1 K-Cup of Hot Chocolate. Then some afternoons I'll have a soada and every so often I have Starbucks instead (on the weekends usually) and I don't make it half caf.

OK, right now, during the holidays I really miss being able to drink. Not that I do it much anyway but I want to be able to have a glass of wine or a couple mixed drinks. The big tradition back home is that everyone meets at the bar the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. I want to go but it'll be kinda boring without a drink in hand.

I also miss Sushi. I drive by the Japanese resturant and REALLY want to go in BUT I know if I do I won't get something like Taryaki Chicken I'll end up ordering sushi.

On the same note, I eat my steaks med. rare....I haven't had a steak for the past 15 weeks because I refuse to eat a "done" steak.

You do realize there is a whole country of people that have been having babies for centuries who's main diet staple is raw fish? Blum 3

I still have my caffeine and I will eat sushi, but only from places I know well. I won't try a new place while pregnant, because who knows what you are gonna get!

I actually was thinking about this the other day. It's just another thing I would feel "guilty" about because it's on the "no no" list

Yeah I hear ya on the guilt. I just think some things on our no no list just scare women. Moderation and not being dumb is key IMO. They just have to cover the bases Wink

I was so going to make a thread of all the things I do that are on the no list... I feel so guilty especially when people mention how "good" they are being, but I agree, that in moderation and smartly it is ok.. at least I hope! I have a Coke every now and then (today after my little guy raged for 1.5 hours.. needed a Coke), sushi but only from the one place we know really well, lunch meats because for some reason I feel like a ham, cheese, spinach and tomato sandwich every lunch! and caf. tea (I don't drink coffee, but never have)... The one thing I won't ever ever do is drink during pregnancy (had too many FAS kids living with us).

Soo happy to hear I'm no the only one breaking the "rules"!!!

I totally ate sushi each week with my last. Love it! I still eat it now too. Also stinky cheese, I totally eat that as well. I'm sure there are other things on the 'no' list that I do or eat as well.

I don't know how I'd live without ham lunch meat.

I think the main no-no's I hold true to are smoking (eww) and drinking. I can wait for a margarita np!

I miss trying to jog. I was just starting to jog again after recovering from knee injuries when I found out I was preggo. Ginger knees and a growing belly don't mix.

With DD I would have lunchmeat and soda like normal. I celebrated reaching month 9 by going out for a big sushi dinner. I also had a small glass of wine at the holidays.

No wine yet this time, but there were mornings when I couldn't function in my classroom without coffee.
