What Does Your Username Mean?

We did this on the January board, and I enjoyed hearing how everyone came up with their username. So?

I was born and raised in Texas, and like they say: "Once a Texan, always a Texan." (I used to have a bumper sticker that said that on my car in highschool. In Ohio. I know I'm lame.)

I've moved a lot since then and have ended up married to a Canadian living in Northern British Columbia. So, my name pays homage to my birthplace (the yellow rose of Texas) and also pays respect to my new home that I also love- Canada.

Corny, right?

Haha Erin... that is so thug. I'm a tad bit jealous that I don't have a thug name.

So true! I once heard about a misplaced Texan woman who actually brought dirt from Texas with her to the hospital when she had her baby and put it under her bed so she could say she had him on Texas soil. No lie. Smile

Mine comes from my college email address where they take the first letter of your first name, the first letter of your middle name, your last name, and a sequential number starting with a zero. So I have aphart0 which is "a" for Amanda (please don't call me that, I only go by Mandy), "p" is for my middle name Peter, "hart" was my maiden name, and then the number "0" because I was the first "aphart". I use aphart0 for everything now.

my username is b/c my previous house (and actually, this one too....) had a lot of ladybugs in the garden....so many that some would invariably get into the house (which I don't mind, they are pretty and useful insects), so I wanted to use "ladybug" in my username. But of course, that's already taken up eons ago by who-knows-what so I just randomly decided to add "yipee" to the beginning and voila! - yipeeladybug. Smile

Mines actually a nickname that SO calls me. He calls me his "hwunnie bwunnie". Why the "w's", well, he says it sort of childish like, I don't know why, but it's kind of cute. The 2 digits at the end are my year of birth.

Mine is the name of my former horse (sadly, we had to sell him due to finances). I like it because it is pretty unique.

Mine is mwilliamson006

mine is the first letter for my first name. M for Marianne, williamson is for my last name, and 006 is just how my email ends. mwilliamson006@sc.rr.com. I like the user name, so I just use it for everything.
