Who's nesting?

I have gone nesting CRAZY! I just completely disassembled a stroller my sister gave me over thanksgiving to clean it! I comissioned DH to build DD a toddler bed frame so that I can get her in a toddler bed and move the crib back into our room and get my nursery set back up. I am about to go clean up DD's room and then tackle our bedroom, particularly the nursery area! Lots of organizing to do there. I have got to figure out where I am going to put stuff to make room for our baby boy!! How crazy that it's half over! I'm so excited and scared at the same time!

Who else has gone a bit nuts getting ready? Please tell me I'm not alone!

I have my little bouts of crazy cleaning. I think once Christmas passes it'll hit me harder. Although the other day I did just clean DD2's room looking for stuff. Ha ha most of it was books thrown everywhere. But I mainly cleaned it because I was looking for toys she had gotten in to that I'm selling on Craigslist.

Although seeing how nice and clean it is makes me feel a lot better. DD1's room needs to be done bad because she pulled a bunch of books off the shelf and didn't put them back (there's so many on the shelf it's hard for her to...heck it's hard for ME to!)

DH has actually been cleaning more than I have. He goes through bursts too lol. I think part of it is he's hoping we get approved to move soon and wants it clean when we move so it's easier to pack and move (they only give us I think 2-3 days to get everything moved once they give us the okay and a bigger house).

Anyway, I've also been having trouble sleeping at night (I can't get to sleep until between 1 AM and 4 AM then am up by 9 AM) so being tired may also be a reason.

It does bother me, but I have no energy during the day. I'm hoping that changes soon so I can begin preparing!

Nope. I haven't done a thing except buy some sleep sacks for baby - it seems way too soon to me! I can't believe it's almost time to start getting things ready in a more tangible way.

Other than hauling the final pieces of our old office out of the nursery I haven't done a thing. Not even bought anything for this LO yet. I think DS2 is still using so much of our baby stuff that there isn't much to do yet. I a little in denile still that there will be another baby here shortly.

I havent really started getting ANYTHING prepared for baby yet! I'm not a big cleaner (DH has a hard time with that lol), but I have a feeling once my school semester ends next week and I am home all week, I will be finding things to do! Of course, probably during this month, I'll be doing some crafts that I found on pinterest! Then, once Christmas is over it will only be 4 months until baby gets here and we'll really be working on her room and finishing up the little things in the house that need to get done.

So I just got in the mail the boy clothes I bought off ebay. 91 pieces for $75, including a baby carrier, swaddle blanket, and headrest for the carseat...and OMG the clothes are so cute! I almost cried looking through them ha ha.

I do get to go and pick up another 50+ pieces of clothes (with lots of jackets) this weekend for $50.

Ha I guess I forgot the clothing thing could be nesting too. I always just consider cleaning the house like a madwoman (which I will do once I do being nesting ha ha) nesting lol.

Just getting those clothes makes me so excited!

I haven't done anything. As soon as Christmas is over I'll have to kick it into high gear.

I've been given several large items (high chair, car seat, bassinet, etc.), and a friend has an excellent condition portable swing she's selling me. I gave that same friend all of my gender neutral items I had left over when I had, and she's now giving me TONS of stuff back. Smile Aside from all of those random things, a few weeks ago when doing some Christmas shopping, we got 2 5-packs of onesies at Ross, and yesterday and Fred Meyer (Kroger, if you are in a different area of the country), I perused the clearance section (they have LOTS of clearance summery stuff.. perfect!) and found a few pairs of shorts and a 1-piece outfit with little surfboards on it. I am SOOOOOOOOO excited to be able to indulge myself with all of the ADORABLE boy stuff!

.....aside from all of that, I've been so busy with school that I haven't given thought to much else. We might be moving within the next few weeks, so I have just started trying to get things organized for that possibility. Wow I am apparently excited about the boy stuff. I wrote way too much. haha!

Hard to tell if I am nesting or just trying to keep things tidy since I have lots of social worker meetings these last couple weeks... Last one tomorrow (hopefully, it has been cancelled a bunch of times) after that I will be starting on getting ready for a trip to Mexico and Christmas. I think in the New Year I will begin really getting ready for the little one... although with my ultrasound tomorrow, seeing the little one might push my nesting instincts into high gear!!

I'm not fully nesting yet, but I am wanting things more clean. My DH just recently hired a cleaning lady for me to come in once a week for an hour. It has been SO incredibly helpful. He's on the road a lot, and things are super busy here at home. Having her come once a week means things never get really messy, and it's so much easier for me to keep up with everything because she does all the stuff that is tough for me right now. I've been really sore, so having someone to do all the floor washing etc has been awesome! I'm sure as we get closer I'll start wanting to organize closets and stuff! Wink
