Worse the 2nd Time?

Tell me I'm not the only one going to bed at 8pm and waking up the next morning feeling like I didn't sleep a wink!

I go straight to bed after I put DD to sleep. I just can't help it. If I don't lay down I feel like a zombie. Then when I wake up the next morning I don't feel like I slept at all. Though I don't even wake up when DH comes to bed or when his alarm goes off at 4:30am!! Talk about a dead sleep!

I remember being tired and hungry with DD, but this time just seems to be amplified by 50!!!

Oh, and you don't even want to see me in the morning getting DD and I ready to leave. As soon as I get up, get dressed, and make the bed, I'm in DD's room laying on the floor in front of open windows (letting in the cool air) while she gets dressed! Then it's a quick microwave breakfast and back on the couch so I don't throw up Sad I actually came in to work late last week because I was so nauseous. It took all I had to get DD to daycare and back home. Thankfully it passed by about 10am and I was able to get to work.

Maybe it's just worse this time because I have a lot more responsibilities than I did before. I've got DH AND DD to take care of, work, and a house that's on the market to keep spotlessly clean. I'm exhausted!

How's everyone else doing with juggling life and being pregnant?

LOL! THIS IS SOOO ME! The other night I went to bed at 7:30 and slept until 6:30 and was STILL tired!

I'm actually finding 3 to be way harder than 2 was. With number 2 I felt fine...yes exhausted but that was the worst of my symptoms. This time I've got the cravings, the nausea, and the exhaustion.

I'm finding that DH has had to step it up and help out A LOT! There are nights when all I can do is sit in the recliner because I have NO energy which means DH has to take care of the kids. We also have started adopting color time, quiet play, and a lot more books...things that don't require much energy from mommy Smile

I feel the exact same way. I have really bad nausea & food aversions. Almost nothing sounds good to eat, and fruit is just about all I can handle. I have constant heartburn & nothing makes it better & sleep happens when I'm not peeing. Lol, sorry for tmi! I don't ever feel like I get enough sleep though, ever. My boobs are also very sore. With my son, it didn't seem this bad.

I felt over exhausted with #2 as well. It was all I could do to drag myself from point A to point B all day. I think I took a nap daily as well and had horrible m/s for like 14 weeks. This time with #3 I am feeling like a champ! Not that tired and so not as sick as I was the last 2 times. I swear the lack of sickness makes it 100 times easier IMO.

I am definitely exhausted all the time, could nap every day. Luckily the ms is not as bad with this one, that really helps.

Sorry you feel so crappy, I hope it passes soon with 2nd trimester.

I'm sure I'll be right there with you in a few weeks.

Right now I just have a little sluggishness from cutting out coffee. Although yesterday I slept until 8:30, then took an afternoon nap, then was back asleep at 10.

With DS1 I never had M/S, but I was exhausted! I took a nap every day at work.

Megan, DH has definately been a GREAT helper through all this (though he's always helped more than his share...now he's just doing even MORE!).

youngmom08, I'm peeing all the time too. I seriously don't know where it's all coming from. But, I'm up at least 4 times at night. It's getting crazy!

Daria, I'm still doing a tad bit of caffine. Just a bit of soda or coffee. Not every day, but sometimes you just need it!

I am with you there, i do not have it every day but sometimes I just need a little bit. I have definitely cut back from pre-pregnancy.
