Yay!

Desmond slept through the night! He slept from 830 until 430!!!

Only bad part is...I didn't go to sleep until 1 because I was so sure he was about to wake up at anytime to eat! LOL! But that's okay because I am going to try and nap today. I really hope this means he's going to start sleeping through the night more often. Smile

That is awesome! Hopefully it was not a fluke and you can enjoy more sleep tonight.

That's great! My DD didn't STTN for the first time until she was 6 months old and then didn't do it again until she was 10 months. Kole on the other hand has been sleeping 5 hour stretches at night since he was only a week old. He routinely sleeps from 9pm until 4:30 or 5am and twice now he's slept from 9p until 6am without waking. It's crazy.

Yeah my DD1 didn't start really sleeping through the night until she was about 18 months old to 2 years old! She and I shared a room until she was about 15 months and she was always waking up and screaming for me. I'd be so tired that I would just take her into my room and go back to sleep lol. I know, not good, but I was tired.

DD2 was pretty good most of the time. She and I shared a room with DD1 (we were in one room together because we were living with inlaws while DH was going through military training). She sleeps better now that she has her own room and always has.

And Anna, I am jealous that Kole already sleeps that long lol. With Des I never know! Ha ha.

That transition always feels sooooooooooo nice! On the other hand, sometimes it freaks me out and I feel like I need to keep making sure my little ones are still breathing. Elijah's been sleeping between 11pm and 7am usually, sometimes waking up between 3 & 4. I'm TOTALLY OK with that! My daughters also started that kind of pattern by 6 weeks, and by 6 months, they slept 12 hours at night, from 7am to 7pm. So far, my little man is on the same track. Many of my friends have insisted one of my kids would be a pain to establish a sleeping pattern, but I'm grateful they haven't been. I am definitely not a nice person if I am not getting several hours of sleep each night.

SO glad to hear you might be on the horizon of more sleep!!!

Only bad thing is I have real bad insomnia and it's worse when DH isn't here. (shakes fist)

Sad I'm the same way sometimes too. I don't know about you, but I start making up scary scenarios in my head and then I can't sleep. I was the worst right after my first DD was born.

I do this too!! And then I get all paranoid. I also feel like I have to keep checking on my kids at night if I wake up. This paranoia is why we ended up with a video monitor in DD's room. I can check on her constantly without having to go in there and disturb her.

Heidi has been an amazing sleeper... I hesitate to write it because I don't want to jinx it!! She has been doing 9pm to 5-6am!!! So different from our daughter... she really nearly did us in! Her day was three hours up, three hours asleep around the clock... so she slept from 10pm to 1am, then was awake from 1am to 4am, then slept again until 7am...

I agree though with Heidi, I keep checking on her in the middle of the night because I am not used to having her sleep so long... She sleeps right next to me, which is so reassuring to just lie and listen to her breathing.

Cammi sounds like your older daughter, Heather. Except last night she slept from 9:30-3:30, so maybe she's starting a new sleep schedule!! She actually started out on a sleep schedule like that and then a few weeks ago changed it to every three hours. Of course during the day is a different story. She ears every one to two hours and takes between 2-4 naps. Crazy girl! Lol

wow awesome

totally agree with the not sleeping on your part, normally Adam feeds when we go to bed and one night I just sat for a min waiting for him to wake up and he ended up sleeping for another 3hrs haha I think I kept waking up at every stir thinking it was feeding time
