Mine went well. I'm up right at 20lbs which I am not to happy about at all, but the dr said he is just fine with it. Blood pressure was 120/70 and baby girls heart beat was 136. I am also measuring right at 30 weeks so we are good there too. I go back in two weeks, so Thursday the 21st which will put me at 32 weeks 1 day.
He went over my glucose results and passed that. My iron level and red blood cell count I am borderline low/normal. They said they won't be checking my blood work again, but the hospital might when we go in to deliver so we will see. I do know I will have to have the MMR shot before leaving the hospital but thats about it.

Jill, 20 lbs for this stage sounds great! I'm a little over 25 and wish I was only at 20.

I agree! 20lbs is perfect! Sounds like a great appointment! So is the MMR shot a standard procedure when having a baby? I think I just got one when I traveled to Thailand last year. I hope I don't have to have another.

That's one thing I love about being military ... I always stay vaccinated and never have to worry about it. As for Alissa, she's traveling, isn't she?

I'm not sure with the MMR shot. I remember when I got pregnant with my son, they told me I had to have it before being released from the hospital because it was only working at 50%. He will be 7 this July. Then after my initial blood work this time, they told me the same thing..so I have no idea. Just going to go with it I guess.

And yeah I know weight wise, I'm doing good. Just scared about losing it all and then hopefully a little more then that afterwards, i'm a whole lot older this time around then I was with my son. 29 now to my 21/22 then! LOL

I believe they recommend the MMR based on if your blood test shows you are still immune or not from previous vaccinations. Apparently the vaccine doesn't last forever, so if you got it as a kid, but not since, you may no longer be immune. I was actually supposed to get it after DD1 was born, but I refused in the hospital because i was already sore from my 3rd degree tear, and didn't feel like having a sore hip or wherever they poke you on top of that, plus I had read some potential side effects that scared me. I did actually try to get the shot while I was on maternity leave from my primary care physician, but when I went in for my appointment, after waiting two hours, he ended up cancelling all his appointments so he could catch up on dictation. I never went back there but switched practices, and since I went back to work soon after that, I never did end up taking time to go get my shot. Trying to decide if I will get it this time or not, I probably will go ahead and get it if they offer it in the hospital this time.

Hey ladies! Sorry I have been MIA this week. I was traveling the first part of this week, and just slammed getting caught back up.

Anyway, my appointment was good. It was my growth u/s, so I didn't do weight or blood pressure, but I got to see my little (big) sweetheart. My amniotic fluid was measuring normal which is great because it was borderline high last time. On the other hand, Rocket is still measuring really big. He's in the 93rd percentile for his age, weighing in at a little over 5 lbs. But they said that he is healthy, just really big. They said that they will continue to monitor his growth, and no way they are letting me go past my due date. But other than his massive size, everything looks good and I got to see his beautiful face, so that was wonderful. Thanks for asking!
