Default Anyone else waiting for their first sonogram?

Or am I the only one left? Besides the symptoms, I have no proof that I'm pregnant and its driving me batty. I know the symptoms are a good sign but my scary google searches tell me that you can have symptoms with a blighted ovum. Agh...so scary.

I have 2 more weeks until my first appointment. Who else is waiting?

Wow you have waited even longer than me. Are you seeing a midwife? I am and I know they don't see you until 12 weeks sometimes. I hope your wait goes by fast too!!

I'm waiting too. My dr says that insurance will only cover the one at 20 weeks unless he can prove he needs to do another ultrasound for medical reasons.
I have an appt on the 20th and i'll be 10w 1 day so i'm really hoping they at least listen for a heartbeat which will ease my nerves a little bit. But I had an ultrasound at my 8 week and first appt with my son, so this is new to me not getting an early 'dating" ultrasound. Not sure i'm liking it so much, i'd really like to know everything is ok.

I'm waiting too! My appointment is next Wednesday though. I can't wait! I feel the same as you though, other than the symptoms and the BFP from three weeks ago I've got nothing....it hasn't quite sinked in yet either, I'm sure it will once they do the ultrasound. Good luck!

I bet they will listen for the hb. That is standard at my OB appointments for every appointment (other than u/s appts) after 10 weeks. If they don't offer, ask!

I haven't even had my first appointment yet really unless you count when I had labs drawn for spotting. My midwife doesn't schedule a first a appointment until 12-14 weeks and I've never had an u/s before 19 weeks. But I've already had two successful pregnancies and no miscarriages so I'm not too worried. If anything like the blighted ovum or something happened its not like they could do anything about it anyway. I'm sure everything is just fine!

My first appointment isn't until Oct. 11 so I've got a while to wait. I am so nauseous though, that I'm not too worried about anything being wrong. I don't know if they will do an ultrasound or listen for the heartbeat, but I will ask them to confirm that there is a heartbeat one way or the other.

Mine isn't for another 9 days, however I have been waiting since it was 20 days until the appointment. I will be ~8-9 weeks I think. When I called I told them I was not sure about the due date because I think I ovulated late and they said I would get a scan right off.
