Anyones hubby...........

Anyones hubby acting protective already over baby once you found out what you were having?? Since we have found out we are having our Little Girl My hubby has been sooooo protective over stuff i have bought or we have bought.. I hadn't put the diapers away that i had bought and one of our kittys decided to lay on the box. Craig got up and shoved the kitty off the box of diapers and said "no those are for my baby girl" LOL And yesterday he went on his lunch and spent some of his Money he had from his birthday on an outfit for the baby. He brought the outfit home in a box and had me open it:) It was cute and sweet all at the same time.

That's sweet. Smile My hubby is not really protective yet. He nags me when I wait too long to eat breakfast on the weekends ("feed my kid!") and one time nagged me about eating something junky (I don't remember what, think Taco Bell or something like that) by saying "I'm pretty sure that's not good for the baby. Or you." But that's about it, and not really sweet so much as irritating. Lol

OMG, that is soooo sweet! My husband is very protective by nature and he is the worrier in our family, not me.

Oh yeah. Majorly. Since we found out we are having a girl, he has been overboard. Even my brother. They have decided they are going to be like the movie Bad Boys 2 and when the kid Reggie comes to the door to take out the daughter for her first date. If you guys haven't seen the movie go to YouTube and look up that scene and that will be her life. LOL. I'm assuming the FOID card application will make an appearance soon for my hubby as my brother already has his done completed and has his card. My poor baby girl, won't be allowed out of the house. Hahahaha

Before the doc office visit where we found out the gender, I had the doc tell me I was dehydrated and not eating enough protein. So DH hounds me to eat - ANYTHING - and drink water. Problem is I never know what's going go come back up and what's not.

I DID notice recently that he was looking at making a crib online. I'm not a super fan of him "making" a crib and I've told him that before. Besides that, I don't think he'd have time, he's never home! But that's about it...

Jessica I giggled about your DH wanting to "make" a crib. That is so something that my DH would say that he wants to do....and then never do because he's busy and that's a lot of work. I also would not be a huge fan of the idea. LOL

Alissa, I've gotten him to back out of the crib idea. I told him I'd be okay with him making some kind of changing table. We both saw one online that we liked - it has a dresser underneath it, that way it'll outlast the "baby" stage too.

However, DH likes dark wood. I hate dark wood (unless it's black). I want pine or oak colored. So we'll see. I'm not even sure he'll make it, but he's seriously gung ho about it.

How funny that your DH's are so protective already. My DH is fairly clueless about it all. He does get a little mad when the dog pounces on me. Or when our neighbor's giant dog jumps on me, he hates that. But otherwise he trusts that I'm doing a good job eating and stuff.

We did go shopping for an outfit. DH picked it out, its a cute little robot onesie with pants and a striped hoodie! So cute!
